Join the Association
Joining AFCEA connects you to the premier IT, communications, and electronics association for professionals in international government, industry and academia. With 35,000 members in 120 chapters across the globe, you become a member of a long-standing and prestigious organanization.
Two Types of Membership
AFCEA’s membership is available in two ways – Individual & Corporate.
Individual members join the Association independently and manage all aspects of their relationship with AFCEA. Active military, government employees, and industry professionals represent the range of our individual members. Discounted student memberships are also available for full-time students.
Corporate members join AFCEA as an entity, establish a primary Point of Contact (POC) for the organization, and receive up to 35 associate memberships. The POC assigns associate memberships to the corporation's or its subsidiary's employees, and manages the organization's AFCEA profile. Universities, small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and non-profit organizations are the foundation of our corporate members.
Member Benefits Overview
The benefits of your membership with AFCEA begin with our network that is at the forefront of the ongoing discussion among government, industry, and academia. Our 35,000 members are actively involved in the exchange of information that takes place at chapter events, conferences, and educational courses.

By associating with our organization you increase your marketability by interacting with distinguished professionals and corporations in the communications, defense, homeland security, and intelligence industries. Corporate members have the flexibility to allow their associate members to affiliate with the chapter of their choice and better interact with your target market.
All members receive a subscription to SIGNAL Magazine, AFCEA's award winning journal for communications, electronics, intelligence, and information systems. Corporate members earn priority advertising positions and a corporate write up in the monthly publication.
Corporate members also receive a listing in the AFCEA Source Book (published in the Januray edition of SIGNAL Magazine) and the AFCEA Online Directories. The online corporate profile has a direct link to your site and users can find your company through custom searches.

These events attract government and industry leaders, allowing for exceptional opportunities to learn from and network with decision makers and future mentors.

Engage at the AFCEA International Level
AFCEA International Conferences & Events
Attend, present, sponsor, or exhibit at any of our world-wide events that occur throughout the year. Conferences, symposia, exhibits, technical panels, professional paper presentations, and educational courses offer you the opportunity to be on the cutting edge of government and industry.
Our events are literally where AFCEA fulfills its mission by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information among its members in information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.
AFCEA International Headquarters Committees
AFCEA International Headquarters is organized in order to optimize the membership of its constituents. The reorganization that took place in 2012 specifically addressed the development of standing committees to cultivate the greatest understanding of member needs, industry trends, and government capabilities.
The efforts of the standing committees will lead to more focused and relevant AFCEA activities. To learn more about the standing committees (Defense, Intelligence, Cyber, Homeland Security, Membership, Small Business, Strategy, and Technology) and how to volunteer click here.
