AFCEA INTERNATIONAL CYBER SYMPOSIUM COMES TO

BALTIMORE CONVENTION CENTER

 

“Defining Full Spectrum Global Cyberspace Operations”

FAIRFAX, VA—AFCEA International will bring its cyber symposium to the Baltimore Convention Center June 25-27. The overall theme of this cyber conference and exposition focuses on engaging the key players, including the U.S. Government, the International Community, Industry and Academia, to discuss the development of robust cyberspace capabilities and partnerships. The conference offers numerous training opportunities and Continuing Education Units (CEUs)/CMUs.

 

Conference speakers and panel participants will voice their points of view and experiences, allowing attendees to benefit from their knowledge and candid discussion. Confirmed speakers include:

  • MG John A. Davis, USA, Senior Military Advisor to USD-Policy for Cyber, Office of the Secretary of Defense (Tuesday June 25, 12:30 – 2pm)
  • Mr. Daniel Kaufman, Information Innovation Office Director, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Tuesday June 25, 4:15 – 5:15pm)
  • Lt Gen Ronnie D. Hawkins, Jr., USAF, Director, Defense Information Systems Agency (Wednesday June 26, Noon – 1:15pm)
  • GEN Keith B. Alexander, USA, Commander, U.S. Cyber Command, Director, National Security Agency/Chief, Central Security Service  (Thursday June 27,   1:00 – 2:30pm)

 

In addition, four panel sessions will provide attendees with opportunities to question experts about the latest policy and technology issues:

  • Critical Infrastructure: Enabling Information Sharing Between DoD and Industry
  • Interoperability, C2, and Collaboration Across Joint Forces and Allied Nations
  • Joint Information Environment (JIE): The Road to Purple
  • Building Organizational Cohesion for Full Spectrum Assured Operations

 

The AFCEA International Cyber Symposium also features more than 30 speakers in engagement theaters on the exhibit floor. These training sessions will cover the three focus areas of the conference: engage and innovate; educate and train; secure, operate and defend. The exposition includes more than 100 exhibitors that will show the latest defense and IT technology. Fortune 500® companies, small businesses, and Maryland-based organizations will display hundreds of technologies and solutions, including: communication systems, electronic warfare equipment, information systems security, satellite communications, weapons systems and much more.
