FAIRFAX, VA—The thirtieth annual MILCOM Conference and Exposition, “Networks…Attaining the Value”, will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland, November 7-10.  Co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the IEEE Communications Society, and hosted by The Boeing Company, MILCOM is the premier international conference for military communications. It gathers the leading minds of government, military, industry and academia in an interactive forum to further explore, define and leverage the benefits networks bring to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. MILCOM 2011 gives industry the opportunity to promote communications technologies and services to commanders from all branches of the armed forces, Department of Defense, federal government, and the heads of multi-national forces from around the globe.

MILCOM includes more than 400 papers in unclassified and classified sessions. The conference program also features technical panels, tutorials and a small business workshop. Topics include cyber security, communications systems, network protocols, cellular networks, and Department of Defense programs. In addition, six featured speakers will present their unique perspectives on the value of networks:

  • Lt Gen Ellen M. Pawlikowski, USAF, Commander, Space and Missile Systems Center
  • Brigadier Andy Bristow, Chief of Staff, UK National Contingent Afghanistan

In addition to the technical program, MILCOM will feature an exposition with nearly 300 defense and information technology exhibitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to see, touch and try out the latest products and solutions in communications, homeland security, and cyber security. Exhibitors include government and military agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and local businesses.
