Young AFCEA DC is launching a new Job Shadowing program where students from McKinley Technology High School shadow a young professional working in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) career field. Our goal is to show the students what a typical day is like working in engineering, IT or biotech by having the students join the professional as they go about their day. Job shadowing can help the students explore career options and will, ideally, increase their interest in STEM and technically focused careers.
We are seeking volunteers, performing STEM type work, who would be willing to host a student for the day during Engineers Week, Feb 17-23. |
