AFCEA Aberdeen March Luncheon Aberdeen Chapter
03/11/2015 COE, Common Operating Environment, APG, Aberdeen
Please join us for our March 11th Monthly Luncheon with Mr. Phil Minor, Deputy Director, Common Operating Environment (COE), ASA(ALT). The event will start at 1130 with networking, and end at approximately 1330. Registration is now open, and will close on Monday 9 March at noon. ABSTRACT: The purpose of this presentation is to provide a high level overview of the Common Operating Environment (COE), and discuss value proposition, established governance, program of record (PoR) to COE capability migration engineering, testing, and the standards process. COE is an approved set of computing technologies and standards that enable secure and interoperable applications to be rapidly developed and executed across a variety of Computing Environments (CEs). COE will improve interoperability across the force (operating and generating), enhance agility in delivering capability to the warfighter, reduce life cycle costs, and promote a standards-based open architecture that leverages industry best practices, protects government purpose rights, and is consistent with the implementation of the Joint Information Environment (JIE). It will build a foundation that is cyber-hardened and secure.
