Mr. Craig M. McComb
Mr. Craig McComb leads the Chief Information Officer function for the Air Force Aeronautical Systems Center. In this capacity he provides leadership and direction over information technology, resources management, Cyber Security, business process management/automation and information services. He is responsible for directing and managing the Center’s information technology (IT) strategy, processes, planning, management, and governance. Executive oversight of enterprise BI/BA pilot project supporting large program executive officer program portfolios (non IT). Provide process automation and Enterprise Information Management (SharePoint) services and support to Center Customers. Responsible for the IT Portfolio with supporting over 10,000 ASC users/customers. Chair, CIO Advisory Team for collaboration and coordination on plans, strategies, technology investments and Customer requirements. Established (2008) and Chair a Cyber Security Working Group.
Mr. McComb has worked in and out of the “IT” field including conducting and mentoring in risk management, data center management and operations and both Army and DISA data center consolidations and optimization; contingency management/emergency preparedness planning; Chief Information Security Officer, certification and accreditation of applications/systems for proper assurance of critical organization functions and mission support. He has participated and collaborated in numerous transformation efforts that include establishing new program/program offices, Enterprise-wide programs/ERP program management, knowledge engineer, business process management and automation, organizational and cultural change management.
With over 33 years experience in the field of information technology, information resources management, and he has an in-depth experience in a variety of diverse technical, management, and leadership positions. He has also provided in-depth support and program management to electricity transmission/power marketing and operations in contingency planning and SCADA systems certification and accreditation. Mr. McComb has been responsible for executing annual budgets exceeding $70 million and responsible for supporting small (1700) to large (exceeding 20,000 plus) sized organizations in a variety of organizations core mission areas. Mr. McComb holds a BS in Decision Science/MIS from George Mason University and an MIS in Management Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
