Mike Finn is a client executive for EDS U.S. Government Solutions, responsible for business in the U.S.
Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, State as well as the Intelligence Community.
Previously he was the Director for Navy Operations for the Navy Marine Corps
Intranet (NMCI) program. Finn worked with the U.S. Department of the Navy
(DoN) senior leadership to develop and execute the strategic approach to NMCI
implementation, and was responsible for ensuring that the Department of the
Navy continuously received the highest quality service at all DoN shore establishment
locations. Having managed the Department of the NavyÕs Computer and
Telecommunications Command that provides worldwide service to joint and Navy
department commands, Finn brought valuable experience to the role.
Finn joined EDS in 2001 as a client executive for Navy Shore Establishment. In
this capacity, he was responsible for the customer relationships with each Navy
Shore Establishment Claimant.
Prior to joining EDS, Finn served as vice president for operations in the Lucent
Technologies/Avaya Government Solutions business unit. In this role, he was responsible for program
and project management, as well as contracts, infrastructure and business operations/process management.
From 1971 to 1997, Finn served the U.S. Department of the Navy as a surface warfare officer. He
commanded a guided missile destroyer, afloat, and the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area
Master Station's Atlantic and Naval Computer and Telecommunications Command, ashore. In these
shore commands, Finn was responsible for the delivery of computing and telecommunications services
to Department of Defense and the DoN users throughout the world. He also had command responsibilities
during the United Nations intervention in Haiti in the Atlantic theater. In addition, Finn served on the
staffs of the joint chiefs and chief of naval operations in roles responsible for executive decision support,
program development and requirements validation. His telecommunications experience includes tactical
as well as strategic systems and networks.
Finn graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts degree in military history. He holds
masterÕs degrees in national security affairs and international relations.
Mike Finn and his wife, Mary, and son Brian and Daughter in Law Dare live in the Washington, D.C., area. They have two wonderful grandchildren, Tyler Patrick and Kiely Elizabeth
