INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA FOR INDUSTRY

REQUIREMENTS
The following are necessary to be eligible for committee membership.
  1. Member of Industry (i.e., you do not work for any federal, state, or local agency or organization including the Department of Defense. Government liaison members to the committee are appointed by their parent organizations)
  2. Citizen of the United States
  3. Current TOP SECRET clearance with SI/TK accesses
  4. Membership in AFCEA. You need not be an AFCEA member to apply for membership on the AFCEA Intelligence Committee, but if elected you would be required to join the Association either on an individual basis ($35 per year) or through a corporate membership.
SELECTION DISCRIMINATORS
The following will be considered in evaluating an industry member's application for committee membership.
  1. Significant past (as a U.S. Government or industry employee) or current (as an industry employee) involvement with intelligence in one or more of the forms below:
    • An employee of, or contractor for, an organization in the intelligence community, with direct involvement in, and knowledge of, the organization's mission activities
    • An employee of a company or entity that furnishes products or services to an intelligence-community organization, with direct involvement in their provision and knowledge of their uses
    • An employee of, or contractor for, an organization that has a substantial and ongoing need for intelligence-community products, with direct involvement in the use of those products
    • An employee of, or contractor for, a government entity that has oversight responsibility for activities and organizations of the intelligence community, with direct involvement in oversight functions
  2. Attendance at one or more AFCEA Intelligence Symposia held in the last two years
  3. Participation in other AFCEA activities, either individually or through corporate involvement
  4. Memberships and involvement in other professional/technical associations and activities
