Alion to Support Rapid Equipping Force

Alion Science and Technology Corporation, Burr Ridge, Illinois, has been awarded a $24,896,089 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order (0088) to previously awarded contract FA4600-06-D-0003 for research, development, engineering, technical evaluation and information analysis and dissemination for the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force. Contractor will leverage its research, development, test and evaluation experience in the processing and fabrication methods associated with the design, research and development, production and repair of metals, composites, ceramics, electronic materials and energetic materials to produce, test and validate prototypes for delivery to the Army. The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, is the contracting activity.
