Unisys to Provide Continued Support to Defense Department Freight Management System

The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded Unisys a task order to design, develop and maintain the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command's Global Freight Management system, which is used by the U.S. Defense Department to purchase commercial freight transportation services. Unisys also will provide project management and integration services, e-commerce solutions, systems training, and software testing and documentation.

SAIC Awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a prime single-award blanket purchase agreement by the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command to support the Joint Program Office, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicle by providing MRAP joint logistics integrator and operational readiness services. The first task order is valued at more than $357 million if all options are exercised.

Raytheon Awarded $154.8 Million Phalanx Weapon System Overhaul and Conversion Contract

Raytheon Company has been awarded a $154.8 million contract from the Canadian Navy to conduct 30 sets of overhauls and convert 21 Phalanx close-in weapon systems.

Raytheon to Provide Service-Oriented Architecture-Compatible, Cross-Domain Security Solution

Raytheon Company has received a $5 million contract from the Maryland Procurement Office to create a Distributed Services (Architecture) Cross Domain Service. The contract will connect "open" service-oriented architectures and "closed" cross-domain guard solutions across the intelligence community, operating at multiple security levels.

Swedish Defense Forces Streamline Communications

Sectra has been commissioned by FMV, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, to further develop the Tiger personal voice encryptor system used by the Swedish Defense Forces for encrypted telephony. The order value amounts to SEK 13 million.
