BAE Systems has been awarded a five-year contract to provide engineering, maintenance and supply support to the Royal Australian Navy's four guided missile frigates. BAE Systems will assume the Integrated Materiel Support service delivery for the Adelaide Class frigates, HMAS Darwin, HMAS Melbourne, HMAS Newcastle and HMAS Sydney, beginning January 1.

Glowlink has received a contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for a satellite carrier monitoring system (CMS) to manage FAA satellite communications traffic in Alaska and the continental United States. Stanley Incorporated is part of a team that has been awarded a five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a $31 million ceiling to provide simulation support to the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center, System Simulation and Development Directorate. Stanley will develop and modify software and will provide analyses of weapons systems against a variety of targets to include tanks, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles, armored personnel vehicles, command and control vehicles, boats, missile and rocket launch vehicles and self-propelled howitzers and rockets, artillery and mortars. The company also will merge weapons and targets with flight simulation results.
ICx Technologies Receives $9.4 Million Contract as Lead Technology Integrator for the Joint Force Protection Advanced Security System
ICx Technologies has been awarded a $9.4 million base contract by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center. The award was presented as a single contract for systems engineering, analysis and the integration of force-protection technologies into the Joint Force Protection Advanced Security System Joint Capability Technology Demonstration. In addition to simple integration, ICx also will be developing sensor fusion and command and control logic-based algorithms to automate and speed up the link between the sensor information that comes in and the resulting emergency- and incident-response capabilities.
Lockheed Martin Awarded $17 Million for Apache Target Acquisition Designation Sight System Modernization
Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $16.9 million contract to begin modernization of the final portion of the U.S. Army's Apache helicopter Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight system. Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will modernize the Laser Transceiver Unit in the Apache's legacy Day Sensor Assembly (DSA) and associated electronics. The objective is to modernize the entire DSA system to enhance performance and prevent obsolescence as well as to increase the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensors' ability to fully accommodate future weapons.
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a prime contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Pacific to provide the Pacific Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) department with engineering and technical support services.
