Raytheon Receives Contract for Digital Airport Surveillance Radar System

Raytheon Company is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a maximum of $679 million for the digital airport surveillance radar system, which is a joint U.S. Defense Department and Federal Aviation Administration activity to replace existing radar facilities at military and civilian airfields located worldwide. The contract is for approximately 116 fully operational turn-key ASR-11 systems, consisting of site activation activities including engineering and technical support services, site surveys, site preparation, dismantling of existing radars and all activities related to the production, transportation, installation and check-out of the new radar systems.

Tompkins-Turner Grunley/Kinsley Receives $128 Million Contract

Tompkins-Turner Grunley/Kinsley, a joint venture, has received a $128 million, firm-fixed-price contract for design/build, command, control, communication, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) center of excellence, Aberdeen Providing Ground, Maryland. U.S. Army Engineer District, Philadelphia, is the contracting activity.

ICx Technologies Awarded Contract for Future Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Reconnaissance System

ICx Technologies Incorporated has been awarded a $20.7 million, cost-plus-fixed-fee-price contract for systems engineering, analysis and integration of the Joint Nuclear Biological Chemical Reconnaissance System Increment 2. U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center, Aberdeen, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Awarded Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation a contract for Phase 1 of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) program. IBCS will provide air and missile defense warfighters the advantage of full situational understanding and the tools needed to effectively carry out their mission. The 11-month contract is valued at $15 million. IBCS will establish a network-centric system-of-systems solution for integrating sensors, shooters and battle management, command, control, communications and intelligence systems for Army air and missile defense.

Alion Wins $38 Million Contract to Provide Anti-submarine Warfare Training Systems for Naval Air Warfare Center

Alion Science and Technology has won a $38 million, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide personal computer-based, integrated anti-submarine warfare training systems for the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division in Orlando, Florida. Alion will support the continued development of Mission Rehearsal Tactical Team Trainer technologies for the SH-60B and SH-60F Navy helicopters.

SAIC Awarded Two Major Task Orders by Army Aviation and Missile Command

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded two task orders by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command to provide modeling and simulation support to the Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center - Systems Simulation and Development Directorate (SSDD). Their combined ceiling value is $160 million if all options are exercised. SSDD evaluates and analyzes performance of new and modified weapon systems and provides technical simulation support for Army program managers and other government agencies. SSDD also conducts weapon systems research, exploratory and advanced development and provides engineering and scientific expertise for the Army.

Northrop Grumman Awarded $206 Million Support and Sustainment Contract for Defense Support Program

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center to provide technical support for the operational Defense Support Program spacecraft, primary infrared sensor and mission analysis. The cost-plus-award-fee contract is valued at $206 million if all options are exercised.

BBN Technologies Announces $12 Million in Funding for 29 Academic-Industrial Teams

BBN Technologies has awarded subcontract awards totaling $12 million for 29 academic/industrial research teams to build, integrate and begin to operate the first prototypes of the GENI suite of network research infrastructure. GENI prototyping is sponsored by the National Science Foundation to support experimental research in network science and engineering.

DynCorp Awarded Contract for Services for Republic of the Philippines

DynCorp International LLC is being awarded a $44.3 million contract to provide support services for Philippines operations support in the Republic of the Philippines for the Joint Special Operations Task Force - Philippines. Namtek Wins Contract for Support Services

Namtek Corporation, a small business, is being awarded a $9 million contract to provide installation of protected distribution systems; Secret Internet Protocol Routed Network/Non-secure Internet Protocol Routed Network support services; annual training and certification of personnel; annual certification and accreditation of classified enclaves; local area network security camera support; and local area network nuclear, biological and chemical sensor connectivity support. The Marine Corps Installation East Contracting Office, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, is the contracting activity.
