General Dynamics Information Technology has been awarded a $32 million contract by the U.S. Army to provide information technology engineering and professional services within the 1st Theater Sustainment Command's area of responsibility. Under the contract, General Dynamics will provide services to support inventory procurement, management and related supply-chain operations. It will also perform standard Army retail supply system logistics analysis and financial reporting.
Under the HELLFIRE Services Limited Liability Company, Lockheed Martin will produce additional combat-proven HELLFIRE II precision-strike, laser-guided, air-to-ground missiles for U.S. and international armed forces under a $357 million U.S. Army contract.
BAE Systems Technical Services and the U.S. Air Force are modifying a firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursable, cost-plus-fixed-fee, fixed-price incentive contract for an estimated $7,557,147. The instrumentation radar support program provides serviceable radar components and subsystems as well as technical field support for instrumentation radar of the C and X band families. Base-X has received a $17,573,144, firm-fixed-price delivery order for an ultra light camouflage net system (ULCANS). ULCANS will aid in the concealment of military ground equipment when tactically deployed and will provide visual, electro-optical, radar and infrared signature reduction characteristics. CA Incorporated's CA Labs has been awarded an $815,000 research award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Science and Technology Directorate to drive innovation in network traffic flow analysis. CA Labs and its research partner, Dalhousie University of Halifax, Canada, will explore new methods for visualizing massive quantities of network data, enabling the extraction of vital information from network traffic patterns that can accelerate the identification of potential security threats.
General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, a business unit of General Dynamics, has received $15.7 million from the U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, for the first year's production on a six-year contract for joint service lightweight standoff chemical agent detector (JSLSCAD) systems and spare parts. The JSLSCAD is a detection system designed to provide ground vehicles with state-of-the-art remote chemical agent detection.
Vector Planning and Service Incorporated has been awarded a $10.9 million, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for systems engineering, software development, integration and testing, technical services, and cost engineering in support of various U.S. Navy projects. The contract has an approximate value of $28.5 million if all options are exercised. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, is the contracting activity.
SRCTec, a subsidiary of the Syracuse Research Corporation, has received a $177.9 million contract by the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command for a CREW Duke engineering change proposal (ECP) effort. The ECP enhances current system capabilities and provides increased defense against additional remote control improvised explosive device (RCIED) threats.
The communications division of Cornet Technologies Incorporated has been awarded a contract to develop next-generation maritime embedded global positioning system adapters (MEGA) for the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center in San Diego. The new MEGA is a versa module Europe (VME) card that hosts the Navy's critical global positioning receiver system application module.
