Lockheed Martin Awarded $17 Million for Apache Target Acquisition Designation Sight System Modernization

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $16.9 million contract to begin modernization of the final portion of the U.S. Army's Apache helicopter Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight system. Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will modernize the Laser Transceiver Unit in the Apache's legacy Day Sensor Assembly (DSA) and associated electronics. The objective is to modernize the entire DSA system to enhance performance and prevent obsolescence as well as to increase the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensors' ability to fully accommodate future weapons.

SAIC Awarded $26 Million Contract by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Pacific

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a prime contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Pacific to provide the Pacific Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) department with engineering and technical support services. The contract has a total value of more than $26 million if all options are exercised.

Argon ST Awarded $30 Million Contract Extension From Navy

Argon ST Incorporated has received a contract modification to complete the sixth phase of a multiyear full-rate production contract to provide Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment Increment E sensor systems to the U.S. Navy. The modification exercises an option with an approximate value of $30.4 million.

Lockheed Martin Selected for Contract by NASA for Next-Generation GOES-R Series Weather Satellites

Lockheed Martin has been selected by NASA to build the next-generation Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite R-Series, known as GOES-R, for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The basic contract is for two spacecraft and has a total estimated value of $1.09 billion, including options.

AAI Selected by Army for Gunshot Detection Systems

AAI Corporation has been awarded a 12-month contract valued at approximately $3 million by the U.S. Army's Project Manager Soldier Weapons organization for 50 Projectile Detection and Cueing (PDCue) gunshot detection systems. PDCue will be integrated on an up-armored M1151 vehicle with the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station, or CROWS II. The PDCue four-corner system incorporates modular design and open architecture to ensure seamless plug-and-play integration of the system with weapon stations such as CROWS II. The integrated systems are expected to be fielded with the Army overseas for operational evaluation.

Argon ST to Provide Advanced ISR Capability to U.S. Army

Argon ST Incorporated has been awarded an $11 million contract to deliver advanced Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities and systems to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command. Argon will provide the Army with advanced ISR capabilities based on its Prism product, which is designed to enable users to maintain a tactical advantage through rapid insertion of software enhancements.

Alion Awarded Task Order Worth $2 Million for Naval Shock and Vibration Engineering Design and Testing

Alion Science and Technology has been awarded a task order with a value of nearly $2 million to provide technical expertise on shock and vibration testing and design for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). Alion will conduct underwater explosion shock and vibration testing for Navy ship programs such as the DDG 1000. This includes supplying subject matter expertise in establishing, implementing, monitoring and enforcing shock and vibration requirements related to ongoing ship design and construction programs that NSWC supports. DDG 1000 is the first in a class of the U.S. Navy's multi-mission surface combatants tailored for the littoral, air and subsurface warfare.

Alliant Techsystems Awarded $26 Million Contract to Develop and Manufacture Space Threat Assessment Testbed System

Alliant Techsystems has been awarded a $26.1 million contract by the U.S. Air Force's Arnold Engineering Development Center for the design, fabrication, installation and testing of the Space Threat Assessment Testbed (STAT) System. STAT will create a realistic space environment to perform developmental and early operational testing of space hardware for the U.S. Department of Defense, the National Reconnaissance Office and other federal agencies.
