Logos Supports Persistent Surveillance in Afghanistan

Logos Technologies Inc., Arlington, Va., is being awarded an $8,000,994 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for field service representatives, operators, and analysts required to support Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems Kestrel systems deployed outside of the continental United States. The company also is being awarded a $7,154,836 modification to delivery order #0003 under previously awarded basic ordering agreement for the same purpose. The modifications are in support of a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Project under Topic 072-019 entitled "Wide Area Video Image Storage Techniques." Work will be performed in Afghanistan and Fairfax, Va., and is expected to be completed in October 2013. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

TCOM L.P., Columbia, Maryland, is being awarded a $38,614,787 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 15 TCOM 22M+ aerostats, tether-up spares, line replaceable units, component kits, and field service representative services in support of Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems being fielded by the Army. Work will be performed in Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Columbia, Maryland; and Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed in September 2014. FLIR Systems Incorporated, Wilsonville, Oregon, was awarded about $10 million for the procurement of repairs and refurbishments, and logistics support for sensor components of the Legacy Rapid Aerostat Initial Deployment (RAID) and RAID Base Expeditionary Targeting and Surveillance Systems-Combined, Cerberus, and Cerberus Lite systems that are fielded in Iraq, Afghanistan and Southeast Asia.
