NAVMAR Continues Ground Surveillance Support in Afghanistan

STARA Technologies to Support Ground Surveillance in Afghanistan

STARA Technologies Incorporated, Gilbert, Arizona, is being awarded a $14,943,064 firm-fixed-price contract for sustainment of Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) Operators at Forward Operating Bases throughout Afghanistan for the U.S. Army. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

 

TCOM Aerostat Contract Modified

TCOM LLP, Columbia, Maryland, is being awarded a $13,445,124 contract modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for the procurement of seven TCOM 22M aerostat systems, site and tether-up spares, and line replaceable units in support of Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems being fielded by the Army. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

Neany Provides Persistent Ground Surveillance in Afghanistan

Neany Incorporated, Hollywood, Maryland, is being awarded a $12 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide continuing operator support services for Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS). The company also will receive a $12 million contract modification to provide PGSS training and deployment and logistics services. Work for both awards will be performed in various forward operating bases located in Afghanistan and in Yuma, Arizona. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

Neany Incorporated, Hollywood, Maryland, is being awarded a $11,960,102 contract modification to provide training of Persistent Ground Surveillance System operators and deployment services in support of PGSS Phase III B.  Work will be performed in various forward deployed operating bases located in Afghanistan, Hollywood, Maryland, and Yuma, Arizona, and is expected to be completed in February 2012. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

Neany to Train Surveillance System Instructors and Operators

Neany Incorporated, Hollywood, Maryland, is being awarded a $12,065,493 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for training of Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) instructors and operators in support of PGSS Phase III B. This modification will also include logistic and deployment support and properly qualified and experienced PGSS operators at locations outside the United States. Work will be performed in various forward deployed operating bases located in Afghanistan (90 percent); Hollywood, Maryland (5 percent); and Yuma, Arizona (5 percent). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

TCOM to Provide Aerostats for Persistent Ground Surveillance

TCOM Limited Partnership, Columbia, Maryland, is being awarded an approximate $12 million contract modification for the procurement of hardware in support of Phase III of the Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems (PGSS) for the U.S. Army. Hardware to be provided includes three 28M+ aerostat systems and three site spares to outfit and enhance the capabilities of the existing PGSS currently fielded. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

TCOM to Develop Prototype Aerostat System

TCOM Limited Partnership, Columbia, Maryland, is being awarded an approximate $41 million contract for a prototype 22M aerostat system in support of the persistent ground surveillance systems for the Defense Department. In addition, the contract provides for technical support personnel for 22M systems outside the continental U.S., training, and prototype payload integration and test support. Ten percent of the work will be performed in Afghanistan. Stara Tech to Provide Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems in Afghanistan

Stara Technologies Incorporated, Gilbert, Arizona, is being awarded more than $22 million for Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems (PGSS) Phase II for the U.S. Army. Stara will fabricate nine additional PGSS back-up systems with wide area surveillance-enabled sensors that are powered through existing renewable energy resources; install electro optical/infrared wide area surveillance on six existing PGSS back-up systems; and install all systems in theater and integrate surveillance data onto PGSS and the Afghan Mission Network/Centrix system.
