Rockwell Collins Modifies Contract for Communications Capability

Rockwell Collins is modifying a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with the U.S. Air Force for $26.2 million. The contract action will develop and demonstrate an affordable communications capability to interconnect five nodes types: weapons, tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), dismounted ground forces, manned aircraft and strategic UAVs.

Raytheon Team to Provide Navy with Precision Aircraft Carrier Landing System

Raytheon Company has received a $232.8 million contract for the system development and demonstration phase of the global positioning system-based Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) program for shipboard applications. JPALS provides all-weather shipboard landing capability to assist the U.S. Navy with pinpoint landing accuracy on aircraft carriers. The team, led by Raytheon Network Centric Systems, includes Rockwell Collins, Northrop Grumman and SAIC. The Raytheon team's solution for JPALS improves safety, lowers the total cost of ownership during the program's life cycle and provides greater flexibility and efficiency.

Rockwell Collins to Provide Air Force with Defense Advanced GPS Receivers

Rockwell Collins Incorporated Government Systems is modifying a U.S. Air Force contract modification for $67.5 million. This modification exercises production options for the purchase of 29,587 defense advanced global positioning system receivers (DAGRs) and accessories. Global Positioning Systems Wing/PK, El Segundo, California, is the contracting activity.

Rockwell Collins to Support Ultra High Frequency Satellite Communications Capability

Rockwell Collins Government Systems Incorporated is being awarded an $8.2 million firm-fixed-price order for services in support of the fiscal year 2008 ARC-210 radio hardware design changes to evolve ultra high frequency satellite communication waveform capability in the next generation tactical networking radio, RT-1939(C) radio system. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
