Corps of Engineers Awards Supercomputer Funds

Silicon Graphics Federal Inc., Annapolis Junction, Maryland, was awarded a $30,750,000 modification (P0002) to firm-fixed-price contract W912DY-13-G-0025 to acquire commercially available high-performance computing systems for the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program to conduct complex calculations at the Air Force Research Laboratory Department of Defense Supercomputing Resource Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Funding and work location will be determined with each order. Estimated completion date is July 3, 2019. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Support Center, Huntsville, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

 

Lockheed Martin to Provide High Performance Computing Services

Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems Incorporated, Bethesda, Maryland, was awarded a $44,037,055 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with options for Next Generation Technical Services III. This includes the management and technical support to advance high performance computing services. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Stennis Space Center Mississippi; Vicksburg Mississippi; Lorton, Virginia; and Bethesda, Maryland, with an estimated completion date of May 19, 2015. Watts Constructors to Build Satellite Communications Terminal

Three Firms Awarded $2.5 Billion for Utility Monitoring

Johnson Controls BAS LLC, Huntsville, Alabama (W912DY-14-D-0050); Evergreen Fire Alarms LLC, Tacoma, Washington (W912DY-14-D-0051); and exp Federal Inc., Chicago, Illinois (W912DY-14-D-0052), were awarded a $2.5 billion combined firm-fixed-price contract for procurement and installation of utility monitoring and control and similar systems. Corps of Engineers Awards $7 Billion Geothermal Energy Contract

New Generation Power Inc., Chicago, Ill., was awarded potential vendor indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price, non-option, non-multi-year contract with a cumulative maximum value of $7 billion. The government is awarding this contract for use in competing and awarding power purchase agreement (PPA) task orders. These PPAs will provide for the purchase of energy from renewable and alternative energy production facilities that are designed, financed, constructed, operated and maintained by private sector entities on private land or on installations under jurisdiction of the Department of Defense. These contracts are for the use of geothermal technology. All awarded technologies will share a total estimated value of $7 billion.
