NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corp., Warminster, Pa., is being awarded a $17,970,662 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for engineering, integration, system maintenance/repair services, and training for the continued development of advanced sensors and systems in support of naval aviation missions of the Special Operations Command. Navmar Applied Sciences Corp., Warminster, Pa., is being awarded a $50,977,258 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee/firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for additional sustainment efforts for existing Copperhead unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detachments, to include personnel support for training and logistics both in the continental United States and outside the continental United States, as well as a variety of spares and industrial supply type materials required for the repair and maintenance efforts.  Work will be performed in Afghanistan and the Yuma Proving Ground, Ariz., and is expected to be completed in February 2014. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Navmar to Support Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Afghanistan

Navmar Applied Sciences Corp., Warminster, Pa., is being awarded a $31,284,013 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for continued sustainment and establishment of Copperhead Unmanned Aerial Vehicle detachments. This includes the procurement of the 42 TigerShark Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Block III platforms, and up to four ground control stations and associated spares as well as continental United States and outside the continental United States personnel support. Work will be performed in Afghanistan (90 percent), and the Yuma Proving Ground, Ariz. (10 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2014. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation, Warminster, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $12,499,940 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for a Phase III B Small Business Innovation Research project under topics N92-170 and N94-178 entitled, respectively, "Laser Radar (LADAR) Identification Demonstration" and "Air Deployable Multi-Parameter Environmental Probe." This order provides for the assessment and deployment of innovative intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and communication systems that, when combined, will extend the range and performance of ISR capabilities of the Persistent Ground Surveillance System Phase IIIB. It also provides for the identification and procurement of commercial-off-the-shelf equipment that enhances these same capabilities. This order provides for developing, testing, and evaluating advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors and systems that can be integrated into existing aircraft systems to perform detection and tracking in open ocean surveillance. NAVMAR to Deploy Advanced C5ISR Architecture and Persistent Surveillance

NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation, Warminster, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $12,436,224 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement to continue efforts initiated under Small Business Innovation Research topic N94-178, to assess, procure, deploy, and support an advanced coalition, command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance equipment and system of architecture. Twenty percent of the work will be performed in Afghanistan. The company is also being awarded a $12,341,259 order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for the assessment, procurement, and deployment of innovative intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, and communication systems in support of phase three Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems. This effort also includes the assessment of unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) noise reducing technology, aircraft aerodynamics with increased lift and decreased drag, UAV weatherization, long endurance, submersible technology, interoperability of airborne and waterborne techniques to support ISR military operations and counter-narco-terrorism and related support hardware. The company is being awaded a third contract, a $12,336,876 order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for the assessment, procurement, and deployment of innovative intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, and communication systems, micro unmanned aircraft vehicle technology, and related hardware in support of phase three Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems. This effort also includes the procurement of 10 appropriately configured TigerShark unmanned aircraft system for precision acquisition weaponized system testing. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity for all three awards.

NAVMAR Receives $84 Million for Gondola Avionic Sensor Packages

NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation, Warminster, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a more than $84 million firm-fixed-priced, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research project under Topics N92-170, entitled "Laser Detection & Ranging Identification Demonstration," and N94-178, entitled "Air Deployable Expendable Multi-parameter Environmental Probe." This Phase III award provides for the production, validation, and delivery of the Gondola avionic sensor packages for the Army. In addition, this contract provides for field service representative support; delivery, installation, operation, and maintenance of hardware; continued testing; engineering services; modeling, simulation, analysis; systems engineering and integration in support of the Persistent Ground Surveillance Program. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.
