Iridium Satellite Awarded Sole-Source Contract

Iridium Satellite LLC, McLean, Va. was awarded a $7,241,112 sole-source contract for hardware and software repairs, maintenance, Gateway Technical Assistance Center support and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert services for the Enhanced Mobile Satellite Services Defense Department Gateway Iridium components. The total potential contract term is for five years to include a one-year base period and four one-year options. The total potential value of this contract is $38,000,004, with the base and each option year period including both firm-fixed-price and cost-reimbursable contract line items. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization-National Capital Region is the contracting activity (HC1047-13-C-4037). 

Small Firms to Compete for $1.42 Billion in DISN Funds

Global Information Grid Services Management - Engineering, Transition and Implementation; Digital Management Inc., Bethesda, Md.; Onyx-Technica Joint Venture, Columbia, Md.; NES Associates LLC, Alexandria, Va.; Cambridge International Systems Inc., Arlington, Va.; TurningPoint-EMW Joint Venture LLC, Rockville, Md.; By Light Professional IT Services Inc. Arlington, Va.; and IPKeys Technologies LLC, Stafford, Va., were recently awarded, a multiple indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for worldwide support necessary to carry out required engineering, transition, implementation, integration; connection approval and IT service management activities, in support of existing and future Defense Information System Network (DISN) networking capabilities. Performance will predominantly be within the continental United States; however, support services are also required at multiple overseas locations. The period of performance includes a base period of two years, one two-year option period and one one-year option period for a total period of five years. The estimated contract ceiling value for the two-year base period of this action is $568 million. Furthermore, $1.42 billion is the sum total ceiling value for all seven GSM-ETI contracts, which cannot be exceeded over the life of the potential five years. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the contracting activity.

BAE Awarded DISA Support Contract

BAE Systems Information Solutions Inc., McLean, Va., was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for XTS Enterprise Guard Solution (consisting of hardware, software and maintenance support) for e-mail, file transfer and Web services. The total lifecycle value of the contract is $8,200,000. Performance will be at DISA, Lab Building, Fort George G. SCDIT Awarded DISA Information Technology Contract

SCD Information Technology Limited Liability Corporation, Columbia, Maryland, was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity firm-fixed-price contract for on-site preventative, predictive, and remedial hardware maintenance and internal hardware operating system's software, engineering changes, and other related hardware maintenance services. The specification covers hardware internal operating system software and software technical support when they are offered as an integral and essential part of providing hardware maintenance. The total contract ceiling is $40 million. Performance will be at the Defense Information Systems Agency Computing Services Directorate processing centers, or its successor, as well as satellite installations/information processing centers, at various locations. Several Firms to Support DISA Test and Evaluation Efforts

Alion Science and Technology Corporation, Alexandria, Virginia; TASC Incorporated, Andover, Massachusetts; Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia; ManTech Telecommunications & Information Systems Corporation/Technical Services Group, Herndon, Virginia; Oberon Associates Incorporated, Manassas, Virginia; American Systems Corporation, Chantilly, Virginia; and Lockheed Martin Corporation, Orlando, Florida, were awarded multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts with cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price contract line item numbers, for test and evaluation (T&E) support for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Test & Evaluation Executive Office and the DISA Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), in order to fulfill their DISA T&E mission. The awardees will support tasks to perform a wide range of non-personal services to encompass testing, scientific, engineering, logistic, administrative, purchasing, and ancillary support of the DISA T&E mission. The services will include all support aspects, including the operation and maintenance of the test tools, labs, networks and infrastructure, and administrative support cells. The contracts are funded by fiscal 2012 RDT&E appropriations, with a minimum guarantee face value of $100,000 and a total program ceiling value of $871,417,098. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, JITC Contract Support Section, Fort Huachuca, Arizona, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Wins Potential $4.6 Billion DISA Contract

Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions Division, Manassas, Virginia, was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that includes a mix of firm-fixed-price, fixed-price with incentive, cost-plus-incentive-fee, and cost-plus and fixed-fee pricing plans. The contract is for worldwide support services necessary to carry out the day-to-day operations of Global Information Grid networks and related services, and to sustain the existing network and subsequent technology enhancement. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $1,911,000,000. The performance period includes a base period of performance of three years, from July 9, 2012 through July 8, 2015, and two two-year option periods, for a total period of seven years. Performance will predominantly be within the continental United States; however, support services are also required at multiple locations outside the continental United States. Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity.

Joint Interoperability Test Command Contracts Extended

Extensions for the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) multiple-award Omnibus contracts were issued as a modification to each of the three existing contracts: TASC-M and TASC-N, both in Andover, Massachusetts; and Interop Joint Venture II, Chantilly, Virginia. The three JITC Omnibus multiple-award contracts are time-and-material contracts that provide a full-range of test, evaluation, and certification services to support rapid acquisition and fielding of global net-centric war fighting capabilities. The extensions will add an additional six-month period to each JITC Omnibus contract. The total combined ceiling values for the extension period will be increased by $35 million, changing the total contract ceilings from $1.219 million to $1.254 million.The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity.
