Boeing to Upgrade Japanese AWACS

Boeing Co., Defense, Space and Security, Kent, Wash., has being awarded an $8,481,422 delivery order to a previously-awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity cost-plus-fixed- fee contract for Japan AWACS mission computing upgrade (MCU)/electronic support measures requirements planning program. The contract delivery order provides a program risk assessment, export licensing planning, modeling and simulation analyses, trade studies, conduct of a MCU demonstration, diminished manufacturing sources monitoring, planning, and sustainment support planning on behalf of the Japan Air Self Defense Force. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Provide Laser Guidance Sets to Saudi Arabia and Japan

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $17,689,518 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed- price contract for the full rate production of 1,496 precision laser guidance sets (DSU-38/B) and the appropriate shipping containers for the U. S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and the governments of Saudi Arabia and Japan. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Contractor to Conduct UAV Risk Reduction Flights for Six Countries

Canadian Commercial Corp., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is being awarded a $9,839,099 firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for services and supplies for land and sea-based modeling, testing and risk reduction flights for the U.S. Navy and the governments of Australia, Spain, Japan, South Korea and Norway. In support of these efforts, the contractor will utilize a Vindicator II System comprised of contractor-owned unmanned air vehicles and high-speed maneuvering unmanned surface vehicles, as well as a contractor-owned helicopter radar signature simulator. The Naval Air Systems Command, Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Provide Aircraft Navigation to Multiple Nations

Northrop Grumman Corp., Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded a $13,172,882 five-year performance based logistics firm-fixed-price requirements contract for the AN/ASN-139 Carrier Aircraft Inertial Navigation System (CAINS II) used in support of the C-2A, E-2C, F/A-18 B/C/D/E/F, S-3 and TAV-8B aircraft. The announcement contains purchases for the governments of Japan, Egypt, France, Malaysia, and Taiwan under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin to Support Aegis Radar for Five Countries

Lockheed Martin Corporation, Moorestown, New Jersey, is being awarded a $37,532,907 firm-fixed-price contract, with performance and delivery incentives requirements, for logistics support of the Aegis AN/Spy-1 Radar Weapon System. The logistics support includes managing the systems by furnishing repaired and new units for 1,649 line items under prescribed performance metrics in response to fleet requisitions. This contract combines the effort between the U.S. Navy, and, under the Foreign Military Sale Program, the governments of Spain, Japan, Korea, and Norway. The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.

TASC to Provide Naval Surveillance Radar in U.S. and Japan

TASC Incorporated, Andover, Massachusetts, is being awarded a potential $18,641,820 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for naval surveillance radar acquisition, engineering and logistics support services for the Ship Defense Expeditionary Warfare Department, Naval Surveillance Radar Division. The objective is to provide high quality engineering and technical services in a timely manner that maximizes innovation and cost reduction initiatives while not sacrificing quality. Work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Wallops Island, Virginia; Washington, DC; San Diego, California; Yokosuka, Japan; and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, California, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed to Support AEGIS for Japan and Spain

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Moorestown, New Jersey, is being awarded a $7,440,473 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract modification for technical engineering and related operation and maintenance of Navy AEGIS sites in New Jersey in support of AEGIS Foreign Military Sales cases Japan and Spain, and for U.S. Navy AEGIS support efforts. This contract modification will provide continuing technical engineering, logistics, configuration management, quality assurance, operation and maintenance for AEGIS program support sites located in New Jersey. These facilities incorporate highly integrated, classified, real-time networks that connect numerous contractors and U.S. government facilities required to build, integrate and deliver computer code for U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales requirements. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

ITT Supports Satellite Communications in Four Countries

ITT Systems Corporation, Colorado Springs, Colorado, was awarded a $121,279,103 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the services in support of the wideband satellite communications missions identified in the Operational Management System. Work will be performed in various U.S. locations; Landstuhl, Germany; Okinawa, Japan; and Canberra, Australia. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin to Support U.S. Marines in Afghanistan and Elsewhere

The scope of this effort is represented in the following areas: logistics management support, inventory management support, equipment fielding support, deployment fielding support, and management and administration. Work will be performed in Camp Pendleton, California; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Okinawa, Japan; Afghanistan; and Hawaii.
