Lockheed Martin has received a $78.6 million contract from the U.S. Navy to produce the next evolution of hardware that will be incorporated into the Aegis Modernization and Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense programs.

The U.S. Air Force has awarded the Lockheed Martin/Northrop Grumman Transformational Satellite Communications System (TSAT) Space Segment Team a $75-million, six-month extension to its Risk Reduction and System Definition (RR&SD) contract.

Lockheed Martin has received a $31.3 million contract modification to provide additional M299 launchers and related equipment to the U.S. Army. Under the modification, Lockheed Martin will supply an additional 298 M299 helicopter-mounted four-rail missile launchers, 134 launcher electronic assemblies (LEAs) and multiple spares.

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $35.8 million contract by the U.S. Navy to design and produce antenna buoy systems that will significantly expand the communications capabilities of submarines while they are submerged. If all options are exercised, the cumulative value of the contract is estimated at $177.9 million.

Lockheed Martin Sippican Incorporated has been awarded a $35.8 million cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for design and development of a Communications at Speed and Depth (CSD) Family of Systems (FoS). The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) awarded the contract on behalf of its organizational partner, the U.S. Navy's Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems. This contract includes options for Low Rate Initial Production and Full Rate Production quantities of CSD hardware as well as options for engineering services and provisioning item orders that if exercised would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $178 million.

Lockheed Martin has received a $6.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to provide engineering support services for MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) work on the Navy's Ticonderoga Class guided missile cruiser modernization program and the Turkish navy's MEKO Track IIA and IIB frigates.

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $15 million firm-fixed-price contract as part of the U.S. Navy's Modernization Program for the DDG 51 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers. The contract includes options and engineering services that if exercised would bring the cumulative value to $51.5 million.

The U.S. Army Product Manager for Joint-Automatic Identification Technology, a part of the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, has awarded the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-III contract to Savi, a Lockheed Martin company; Northrop Grumman Information Technology; Unisys; and Systems & Processes Engineering Corporation (SPEC). The contract has a ceiling value of $429.4 million and is for commercial active RFID hardware, software and services.

Lockheed Martin Corporation's Missiles and Fire Control has been awarded a $180 million firm-fixed-price cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, of which the requirement includes High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Full-Rate Production (FRP 4) launchers in support of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps.

Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Coast Guard have exercised contract options valued at $13.25 million to install mission systems aboard two HC-130J aircraft. The aircraft's new mission equipment and sensor packages deliver enhanced search, detection and tracking capabilities in maritime search and rescue, law enforcement and homeland security missions.
