Motorola to Sustain Mobile Radio Systems Worldwide

Motorola Solutions Inc., Columbia, Md., is being awarded a $15,613,852 firm-fixed-price contract for global sustainment of enterprise land and mobile radio systems at 53 military installations worldwide. The work to be performed provides for preventive and corrective maintenance to sustain the enterprise land and mobile radio system and associated equipment and information assurance vulnerability alert compliance/patch management. This includes fixed, mobile and portable units, dispatching equipment and all associated equipment currently deployed as part of Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s worldwide enterprise land and mobile radio systems worldwide. Responsibility of troubleshooting, removal, and replacing of the equipment for these units is also included as part of this requirement. The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Rockwell Receives High Frequency Radio Funds

Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $10,947,863 firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to procure up to a maximum of 41 ARC-243 High Frequency Radio System including 200 hours of associated engineering support. The ARC-243 HF radio system includes the receiver exciter, antenna coupler, power supply and associated mounts. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Network Centric Systems, Largo, Florida, is being awarded an $8,731,406 contract modification for Joint Tactical Terminal AN/USC-62 radios. These radios will provide the Navy with vital integrated broadcast service receive and transmit capabilities in support of Ballistic missile defense operations. This contract includes options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $34,659,763. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity.

Rockwell Collins to Provide Receiver-Transmitters

Rockwell Collins Incorporated, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded an $11,020,315 modification to a previously awarded firm fixed-priced to exercise an option for the procurement of AN/ARC-210(V) electronic radio and ancillary equipment for a variety of aircraft. Equipment being procured includes 23 RT-1939(C)/ARC receiver-transmitter and 106 RT-1990(C)/ARC receiver-transmitter. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Thales to Provide Radio System Components

Kingdom of Jordan Purchases Harris Radios

Harris Corporation, Melbourne, Florida, has received a $30 million order to provide the Kingdom of Jordan with tactical radios that will provide advanced communication capabilities in the next phase of the deployment of a modernized command, control, communications, surveillance, intelligence and reconnaissance (C4ISR) system for its military. The Harris Falcon III and Falcon II radio family will deliver the voice and data communications core for the country's new command and control system.
