General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, a business unit of General Dynamics, has received $15.7 million from the U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, for the first year's production on a six-year contract for joint service lightweight standoff chemical agent detector (JSLSCAD) systems and spare parts. The JSLSCAD is a detection system designed to provide ground vehicles with state-of-the-art remote chemical agent detection.
General Dynamics C4 Systems will add a new public switched telephone network (PSTN) feature to the Sectéra vIPer universal secure phone in a $2.8 million contract awarded by the National Security Agency. The new feature, "PSTN Connect," will enable the vIPer phone to connect with traditional telephone networks, enabling users of secure desktop phones to use one secure phone on either PSTN or voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) networks.
General Dynamics Land Systems has received a contract from the U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command for production and maintenance of 615 Stryker vehicles. The contract has a potential value of $1.2 billion. Stryker operates with the latest C4ISR equipment and an integrated armor package, thereby protecting soldiers against improvised explosive devices, rocket-propelled grenades and other infantry weapons.

General Dynamics Robotic System has been awarded a contract by the Office of Naval Research to develop the Common Launch and Recovery System for use on the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). General Dynamics will use robotics and automation technologies to develop a method for launching and recovering unmanned maritime systems, including unmanned boats and other watercraft, from the LCS.

General Dynamics C4 Systems has been awarded a $9.2 million contract to develop satellite communication encryption and telemetry technologies. The contract allows General Dynamics to continue the development, qualification and certification of a National Security Agency-approved encryption module for securing telemetry, tracking and control of Defense Department satellites. The contract is through the U.S. Air Force's Telemetry, Tracking and Commanding KG-327 program, and the contracting activity is the U.S. Air Force Headquarters Cryptologic Systems Group of San Antonio, Texas.
