Northrop Grumman to Develop ISR Capability

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation will develop and demonstrate the ability of the rapid eye program to deliver a persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability anywhere on the globe through the use of a launch system and the ability to remain on-station until relieved or the mission is completed. This program is through a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for $7.5 million. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Provide Tactical Jamming System Receivers

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation is receiving a $125.6 million firm-fixed-price contract for the full rate production of nine AN/ALQ-218 tactical jamming system receivers (TJSR), a component of the EA-6B airborne electronic attack aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Modifies U.S. Air Force Contract

Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems, Air Combat Systems, is modifying a contract with the U.S. Air Force for $7.1 million. The effort is for the operation of the Global Hawk System in forward theaters of operation. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Supply Integrated Navigation Systems to Australian Navy

Northrop Grumman's Sperry Marine business unit will supply integrated navigation systems for two new large amphibious ships to be built for the Australian Navy under an $8.4 million contract. Sperry Marine will provide a state-of-the-art suite of navigation systems and sensors for two new Canberra-class LHDs. The contract also includes engineering and technical support for configuration, installation, commissioning, a land-based test site and sea trials.

Northrop Grumman to Supply Inertial Navigation Systems to Spanish Navy

Northrop Grumman Corporation has won a contract to supply high-accuracy inertial navigation systems for four new maritime action ships that are being built for the Spanish navy. The contract is valued at more than $1.5 million and was awarded by Navantia to Northrop Grumman's Sperry Marine business unit.

Northrop Grumman Awarded Contract to Support NASA's Use of Global Hawk for Earth Science Research

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received a five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, sole-source contract from NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center for engineering and technical services to support NASA's use of the Global Hawk unmanned aircraft for scientific research. The contract has a value of up to $25 million. Northrop Grumman's technical assistance will include analysis, design support for unique systems, simulations, software development and engineering, and operational and manufacturing support.

Northrop Grumman Awarded Security Delivery Order

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received a $69 million delivery order to provide advanced technologies and systems for protecting military troops, facilities and assets at forward-operating bases throughout the U.S. Central Command. Under the order, Northrop Grumman's missions systems sector will provide detection, assessment and surveillance capabilities for the U.S. Air Force, Army and Marine Corps.

Northrop Grumman Awarded Contract by U.S. Navy to Upgrade E-2 Hawkeye Aircraft for Egyptian Air Force

Northrop Grumman Corporation will upgrade an E-2C airborne early warning and control aircraft for the Egypt E-2C foreign military sales program in a $38 million contract awarded by the U.S. Navy. The aircraft will be refurbished and upgraded to the Hawkeye 2000 configuration and will include upgrades to the radar, mission computers, tactical mission system displays and navigation system.

Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems and Raytheon Company have received a $41 million, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee type task order for sensors technology automated recognition. The companies will develop technologies in a wide range of application areas to continue to advance the technical improvements to warfighters.

Northrop Grumman to Develop Hybrid Thermal Ground Plane

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop and demonstrate an ultra high-capacity hybrid thermal ground plane needed to overcome heat-related challenges in semiconductors employed in electronic systems. The $1.7 million, 18-month, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is for the first phase of the three-phase DARPA program.
