Northrop to Continue Operating BACN for Contingency Operations

The U.S. Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation, McLean, Virginia, two contract modifications totaling $156 million to continue operating and maintaining the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) system in support of overseas contingency missions. The company was awarded a $106 million contract modification to extend the deployment and operation of BACN payloads installed in three E-11A Bombardier Global Express BD-700 aircraft and three EQ-4B Block 20 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles. The award supports operations through June 2013. Additionally, the company was awarded a $50 million contract modification for platform maintenance support of three E-11A aircraft - numbers 9355, 9358 and 9001 - through February 2013.

Northrop Grumman to Support Radar System

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Linthicum, Maryland, was awarded a $76,727,752 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the engineering and technical services in support of the Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar system. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Provide Surveillance Radar Engineering Services

Northrop to Provide Identification Friend or Foe Systems

Northrop Grumman Guidance and Electronics Company Incorporated, Navigation Systems Division, Woodland Hills, California, is being awarded an $11,494,975 firm-fixed-price production contract for the fabrication, testing and delivery of five interrogator sets AN/UPX-24(V) in an open systems architecture configuration in support of the Combat ID Identification Friend or Foe. Each interrogator set consists of a control monitor C-10065/UPX-24(V) and a processor controller CP-1273/UPX-24(V). The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Supports BACN in Kandahar

Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corporation, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $106,364,282 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for modification to extend the deployment and operation of three Battlefield Airborne Communications Node payloads installed in Global Express BD-700 and three Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles. The company was also awarded a $50,575,532 firm-fixed-price contract modification for eight months of E-11A platform maintenance support for aircraft 9355, 9358, and 9001. The location of the performance is Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan. Air Force Materiel Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
