Northrop to Integrate BACN onto E-11A Aircraft

Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $33,074,969 contract modification for the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node payload and supplemental type certificates integration capability on the E-11A S/N 9506 aircraft. The contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass. 

Northrop to Integrate BLOS onto E-11A Aircraft

Northrop Grumman Space and Missile Systems Corporation, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $20,170,782 contract modification to integrate beyond line of sight capability (BLOS) onto an E-11A aircraft. The contracting activity is Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts.

Northrop to Continue Operating BACN for Contingency Operations

The U.S. Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation, McLean, Virginia, two contract modifications totaling $156 million to continue operating and maintaining the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) system in support of overseas contingency missions. The company was awarded a $106 million contract modification to extend the deployment and operation of BACN payloads installed in three E-11A Bombardier Global Express BD-700 aircraft and three EQ-4B Block 20 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles. The award supports operations through June 2013. Additionally, the company was awarded a $50 million contract modification for platform maintenance support of three E-11A aircraft - numbers 9355, 9358 and 9001 - through February 2013.

Northrop Supports BACN in Kandahar

Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corporation, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $106,364,282 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for modification to extend the deployment and operation of three Battlefield Airborne Communications Node payloads installed in Global Express BD-700 and three Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles. The company was also awarded a $50,575,532 firm-fixed-price contract modification for eight months of E-11A platform maintenance support for aircraft 9355, 9358, and 9001. The location of the performance is Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan. Air Force Materiel Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Space and Missions Systems, Northrop Grumman Information Systems, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $26,818,683 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, time-and-material contract modification, which exercises options to operate and support the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node System installed in aircraft E-11A, serial number 11-9001, in support of Overseas Contingency. Air Force Materiel Command, Airborne Networks Division, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Receives Battlefield Airborne Communications Node Contract

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Defense Systems Division, Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a $42,999,820 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for a five-month extension of the operation and support of the aircraft E-11A, serial numbers 11-9355 and 11-9358, modified to carry the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) payload. This contract also provides for the operation and maintenance of the BACN payload by Northrop Grumman, and for the maintenance of modified aircraft. It also provides an option to re-paint the two aircraft to Air Force specifications. Electronic Systems Center, Airborne Networks Division, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.

Northrop to Equip E-11A with Battlefield Communications Node

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Defense Systems Division, Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a more than $20 million, four-month contract extension for the operation and support of aircraft E-11A, serial number 1-900, modified to carry the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) payload. This contract also provides for the operations and maintenance of the BACN payload and for the maintenance of the modified aircraft. Electronic Systems Command, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
