AH-1Z Cobra

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missile and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida, is being awarded a $150,957,577 firm-fixed-price definitive contract for the Target Sight System (TSS) on the AH-1Z Cobra attack helicopter. The TSS is a large-aperture midwave forward-looking infrared sensor with a laser designator/rangefinder turret. The TSS provides the capability to identify and laser-designate targets at maximum weapon range, significantly enhancing platform survivability and lethality. The anticipated contract will support the AH-1Z Cobra helicopter production efforts of PMA-276 and the government of Pakistan.

Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being issued $7,466,150 for delivery order 0003 against previously awarded basic ordering agreement N00019-16-G-0012 for the procurement and installation of eight AN/APR-39D(V)2 radar system integration kits (A-kits) into Lot 13 AH-1Z and UH-1Y aircraft. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed in December 2018. Fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $7,466,150 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp. Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida, is being awarded $43,400,000 firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of 14 AN/AAQ-30 target sight systems (TSS) and data to be integrated into U.S. Marine Corps Cobra attack helicopters. This integration is part of the U.S. Marine Corps H-1 upgrades program for the remanufacture of legacy aircraft with state of the art designs incorporated into the existing AH-1W fleet, converting them to AH-1Z. The AN/AAQ-30 TSS provides target identification and tracking, passive targeting for integrated weapons, including Hellfire missiles, and a laser designation capability supporting friendly laser-guided weapons.

Lockheed Martin Corporation Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida, is being awarded a nearly $50 million firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of 18 AN/AAQ-30 target sight systems (TSS) that will be integrated into the AH-1Z Cobra attack helicopter. This integration is part of the USMC H-1 upgrade program to remanufacture legacy aircraft with state of the art designs incorporated into the existing fleet of AH-1Ws, converting them to AH-1Zs. The TSS provides target identification and tracking, passive targeting for integrated weapons, including Hellfire missiles, and a laser designation capability supporting friendly laser-guided weapons.
