QinetiQ to Deliver Gunshot Detection Systems

QinetiQ North America, Reston, Virginia, was recently awarded a $38 million contract for 15,000 individual gunshot detection systems. Work is to be performed in Reston, Virginia, with an estimated completion date of July 28, 2013. Research Development & Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

QinetiQ to Provide Submarine Laser Communication System

QinetiQ North America Operations, Limited Liability Company, is being awarded a more than $31 million contract for the Tactical Relay Information Network program to provide a submarine laser communication system that operates in the blue spectrum for evaluation during a naval exercise in fiscal 2012. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity.

QinetiQ Wins Typhoon Support Contract

The United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence has awarded QinetiQ a three-year, 37 million pound contract to continue support for the Eurofighter Typhoon program. The contract covers release to service recommendations, crew protection and performance, mission system software support, technical and business support and airworthiness and safety clearance.

The Department of Homeland Security has awarded QinetiQ North America three contracts worth more than $5 million to provide information technology (IT) support to the U.S. Secret Service's Washington, D.C., headquarters. The three task orders all involve providing IT services that establish, maintain and secure the networks on which the agency's day-to-day mission and business activities depend.

QinetiQ North America to Provide U.S. Army With Intelligence Analysis

QinetiQ North America was awarded a five-year, $10.3 million contract to provide a range of intelligence analysis support for the U.S. Army's Sustainment Command. Under the contract, QinetiQ subsidiary Analex Corporation will provide support to the command at Rock Island Arsenal and with select Army field support brigades and subordinate battalions.

QinetiQ North America Wins Air Force Space Operations Contract

QinetiQ North America's Mission Solutions Group has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement worth up to $250 million from the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile System Center for space operations technical support. QinetiQ North America will be eligible to provide the Air Force with systems engineering, test and evaluation, software engineering, spectrum management, modeling and simulation, system safety and acquisition security. The company also will offer support in the areas of integration logistic support and concept development and other areas.
