Five Firms Compete for $98 Million in C5ISR Funds

Amee Bay LLC, Anchorage, Alaska; Chugach Federal Solutions Incorporated, Anchorage, Alaska; Client Solution Architects LLC, Mechanicsburg, Pennsyvania; Imagine One StraCon Venture LLC, Fort Worth, Texas; and UEC Electronics LLC, Hanahan, South Carolina, are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based, multiple award contracts, with provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed-price orders, to provide command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C5ISR) electronics and communications services and solutions in support of mission capabilities within the production, installation and in-service support portfolio to provide integration and test of interoperable C5ISR capabilities that fulfill mission requirements for surface and sub-surface platforms through large-scale integration. These contracts include options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these multiple award contracts to a combine estimated $98 million. These five contractors may compete for the task orders under the terms and conditions of the awarded contracts. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

URS Federal to Support Nuclear Submarine Command and Control

URS Federal Services Incorporated, Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a potential $56,300,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee with firm-fixed price provisions, performance-based contract to provide command, control, communications, collaboration, computers and intelligence (C5I) and nuclear command, control and communication (NC3) submarine support services. Services include test evaluation and certification, system/equipment analysis and assessment, equipment modernization coordination and oversight, testing and certification, technical assistance, equipment maintenance, repair/overhaul support, information awareness, provisioning and program support for SSN 774 Class Non-Propulsion Electronics Systems and SSN 21, SSN 688/I, SSBN 726 and SSGN Class Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems and submarine operating authority shore facilities. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

NAVMAR to Deploy Advanced C5ISR Architecture and Persistent Surveillance

NAVMAR Applied Sciences Corporation, Warminster, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $12,436,224 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement to continue efforts initiated under Small Business Innovation Research topic N94-178, to assess, procure, deploy, and support an advanced coalition, command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance equipment and system of architecture. Twenty percent of the work will be performed in Afghanistan. The company is also being awarded a $12,341,259 order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for the assessment, procurement, and deployment of innovative intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, and communication systems in support of phase three Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems. This effort also includes the assessment of unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) noise reducing technology, aircraft aerodynamics with increased lift and decreased drag, UAV weatherization, long endurance, submersible technology, interoperability of airborne and waterborne techniques to support ISR military operations and counter-narco-terrorism and related support hardware. The company is being awaded a third contract, a $12,336,876 order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for the assessment, procurement, and deployment of innovative intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, and communication systems, micro unmanned aircraft vehicle technology, and related hardware in support of phase three Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems. This effort also includes the procurement of 10 appropriately configured TigerShark unmanned aircraft system for precision acquisition weaponized system testing. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity for all three awards.
