Raytheon Company is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a maximum of $679 million for the digital airport surveillance radar system, which is a joint U.S. Defense Department and Federal Aviation Administration activity to replace existing radar facilities at military and civilian airfields located worldwide. The contract is for approximately 116 fully operational turn-key ASR-11 systems, consisting of site activation activities including engineering and technical support services, site surveys, site preparation, dismantling of existing radars and all activities related to the production, transportation, installation and check-out of the new radar systems.

Raytheon Company has received a $232.8 million contract for the system development and demonstration phase of the global positioning system-based Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) program for shipboard applications. JPALS provides all-weather shipboard landing capability to assist the U.S. Navy with pinpoint landing accuracy on aircraft carriers. The team, led by Raytheon Network Centric Systems, includes Rockwell Collins, Northrop Grumman and SAIC. The Raytheon team's solution for JPALS improves safety, lowers the total cost of ownership during the program's life cycle and provides greater flexibility and efficiency.

Raytheon Company and The Boeing Company have received a $125 million U.S. Army contract for the Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) program. The contract funds a 27-month technology development program to develop and fire three prototype missiles with fully integrated tri-mode seekers. The Raytheon-Boeing JAGM team brings mature, advanced seeker and missile technologies to the program. The team also has decades of fixed-and rotary-wing integration expertise.

Raytheon Company has been awarded a $10 million Missile Defense Agency contract to continue research and development of the network-centric airborne defense element, an air-launched weapon system designed to engage short- and medium-range ballistic missiles in the boost and ascent phase of flight.

Raytheon Company has been awarded a U.S. Army contract modification to provide additional persistent surveillance capability through the rapid aerostat initial deployment (RAID) program. Raytheon was awarded $27.6 million to provide RAID elevated sensor systems to the Army as part of the base expeditionary targeting and surveillance system program. RAID provides persistent surveillance using infrared sensors elevated on a stationary platform.

Raytheon Company has received an $85.3 million contract to produce tactical Excalibur projectiles for the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps and the Australian Defence Forces. Excalibur is a cooperative effort between Raytheon Missile Systems and BAE Systems Bofors of Sweden. It is an artillery projectile that provides precision-strike capability at extended ranges for current and future 155mm howitzers.

Raytheon Company has been awarded a U.S. Army contract modification for $27.6 million to provide additional persistent surveillance capability through the rapid aerostat initial deployment (RAID) program. Raytheon will provide RAID elevated sensor systems to the Army as part of the base expeditionary targeting and surveillance system program. The RAID system is used throughout operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

The Raytheon Company-Lockheed Martin Javelin Joint Venture received a $111.6 million U.S. Army Global War on Terror supplemental contract to produce additional Javelin missiles and command launch sites. Javelin is the world's first man-portable fire-and-forget medium-range missile system and is designed for one-soldier operations in all environments.

Raytheon Company has received an $87.4 million contract modification for the procurement of 103 Tomahawk Block IV All-Up-Round (AUR) missiles. The Tomahawk Block IV missile is capable of launch from surface ships equipped with the vertical launch system, submarines equipped with the capsule launch system and submarines equipped with the torpedo tube launch system. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Company has received a $13.7 million, firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement. The delivery order is for the procurement of AN/ALR-67(V)3 enhanced integrated antenna detector radar warning receivers, AN/ALP-67(V)3 enhanced antenna detector radar warning receiver systems and integrated microwave integrated circuits. The contract combines purchases for the Canadian and Swiss governments under the foreign military sales program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
