Japan Procures Undersea Warfare System

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, Manassas, Virginia, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $59,728,305 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-13-C-5225) for the Navy's fiscal 2014 AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Surface Ship Undersea Warfare (USW) System and shore site development systems. The AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 is a USW combat system with the capabilities to search, detect, classify, localize and track undersea contacts, and to engage and evade submarines, mine-like small objects and torpedo threats. The contract is for development and production of the Technical Insertion 14 baseline of the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 USW systems. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy and the government of Japan (25.4 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Awarded Nearly $96 Million for Undersea Warfare System

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded a $95,727,501 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-5201) for definitization of the Navy's fiscal 2012 AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Surface Ship Undersea Warfare System production requirements and exercise of fiscal 2013 production options. The AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 is a surface ship combat system with the capabilities to search, detect, classify, localize and track undersea contacts; and to engage and evade submarines, mine-like small objects, and torpedo threats. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

L-3 to Design Undersea Warfare Training Range

L-3 Communications MariPro Inc., Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a $10,195,466 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise two options for design and installation services for an undersea warfare training range (USWTR) off the coast of Jacksonville, Fla., training and support services following delivery of the USWTR, and spares. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla. is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $111,512,730 cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-only, firm-fixed-price contract for the development, integration and production of AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Surface Ship Undersea Warfare Systems. The AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 is a Surface Ship Undersea Warfare combat system with the capabilities to search, detect, classify, localize and track undersea contacts, and to engage and evade submarines, mine-like small objects and torpedo threats. The contract is for development, integration and production of future Advanced Capability Build and Technical Insertion baselines of the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 USW Systems. This contract is for the government of Japan under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity. 

Progeny to Support Procurement of Undersea Warfare Systems

Progeny Systems Corporation, Manassas, Virginia, is being awarded a $16,238,064 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification for Small Business Innovative Research Phase III engineering and technical support services in support of technology infusion methodology for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) based systems. This effort includes the services involving software development, procurement of COTS products and hardware/software integration for submarine and undersea warfare weapon systems. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, DC, is the contracting activity.
