Global Solutions Contracts Increased by $635 Million for Re-compete

APPTIS Incorporated (formerly, SETA Corporation), McLean, Virginia, and Science Applications International Corporation, San Diego, California, were awarded two contract modifications to the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) Global Solutions (DGS) contracts. The increase to the ceiling amounts were to ensure continuous, uninterrupted services provided under the DGS contracts as the government re-competes the associated efforts. As a result of these changes, the DGS contracts lifecycle period of performance end date will be changed to March 31, 2012, and the total combined ceiling will be changed from $4.2 billion to more than $4.8 billion, an increase of $635 million dollars. The DGS contracts are open for use to all federal agencies whenever the requirement to be placed is associated with the lifecycle management of the DISN. These efforts include, but are not limited to:  program management; cost/schedule; management; financial management; systems engineering; hardware and software management; test and evaluation; manufacturing; engineering; logistics; and other services required for DISN support. Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity.

Apptis Wins Defense Acquisition University Contract

Apptis Incorporated has won a contract valued at more than $28.4 million from the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). Under the contract, the company will provide network engineering and information assurance services and will support the DAU's network, help desk, desktop and videoconferencing services.

Apptis Awarded PM DCATS Command Center Upgrade Contract

Apptis Incorporated has been awarded the Project Manager Defense Communications and Army Transmissions Systems (PM DCATS) Command Center Upgrade Special Project Office contract to provide overall management, engineering, integration and acquisition of turn-key command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems worldwide. The total contract is valued at more than $130 million.

Apptis Receives Contract to Provide Information Assurance Support to U.S. Central Command

Apptis Incorporated has won a $25 million contract to provide critical network operations and information assurance support to the U.S. Central Command in Bahrain and at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Under the Defense Information Systems Agency task order, Apptis will supply network operations and help-desk support to the command and control communications systems available to troops in combat zones.
