Navy Procures Renewable Energy for Hawaii Bases

Pacific Energy Solutions LLC, Boca Raton, Florida, is being awarded $334,135,534 for firm-fixed-price task order 0002 under a previously awarded solar power generation multiple award contract (N62742-11-D-1192) for the procurement of electricity produced from renewable energy generation systems. The work to be performed provides for purchase of reliable locally generated, alternating current, power from solar power generation systems that are designed, constructed, owned, operated and maintained by the contractor on government property. The government will procure the power using the 10 USC §2922(a) authority. The sites under this task order include three roof tops and one ground mount location (Waipio Peninsula) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam; six roof tops and two elevated photovoltaic (PV) structures at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe, Hawaii; and one roof top and one elevated PV structure at Camp Smith, Aiea, Hawaii. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.

U.S. Army Awards $21 Billion for Alternative Energies

(W912DY-14-D-0041), Hampden, N.H., were awarded a maximum $7,000,000,000 firm-fixed-price, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for biomass technology. In addition, Ameresco (W912DY-14-D-0031); M. Arthur Gensler, Jr. and Assoc., (W912DY-14-D-0032), Dallas, Texas; and Infigen Energy US Development LLC (W912DY-14-D-0033), Dallas, Texas were awarded a maximum $7,000,000,000 firm-fixed-price, multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for wind technology. And Ameresco (W912DY-14-D-0016); Chevron Energy Solutions Co. (W912DY-14-D-0017), San Francisco, Calif.; Constellation NewEnergy Inc. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntsville, Ala. is the contracting activity on all awards. 

U.S. Army Invests in Renewable Energy Facilities

CMS TotTest Joint Venture, Bargersville, Indiana; ARGO Systems Limited Liability Corporation, Hanover, Maryland; JSR-ECC Limited Liability Corporation, Schertz, Texas; Luevano Hart/Burns and McDonnell Joint Venture, Kansas City, Missouri; and Southwind Construction Services Limited Liability Corporation, Edmond, Oklahoma; were awarded a $49 million firm-fixed-price multiple-award-task-order contract for the construction of renewable energy, energy conservation and mechanical and electrical projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Western District. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity.
