U.S. Strategic Command

Maj. Gen. Jennifer L. Napper, USA, has been assigned director of Plans and Policy/J-5, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland.

Brig. Gen. Linda R. Medler, USAF, has been assigned director of command, control, communications and computer systems (J-6), U.S. Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland.  

Rear Adm. Timothy M. Giardina, USN, has been nominated for appointment to the rank of vice admiral and assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

Rear Adm. Sean R. Filipowski, USN, has been assigned deputy director of operations, J-3, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland.

Maj. Gen. Rhett A. Hernandez, USA, has been assigned as commander, U.S. Army Cyber Command, Washington, D.C.

Lt. Gen. Keith B. Alexander, USA, director, National Security Agency and chief, Central Security Service, has been promoted to the rank of general and given additional assignment as commander of the new U.S. Cyber Command.

Collaboration is always a win-win situation when the end results benefit the nation. STRATCOM has been at the forefront of this ideology with the GISC. Can we compare the achievements of similar military/government or academic and industry entities to those of GISC?
