ViaSat Receives Additional Order for Multifunctional Information Distribution System Terminals

ViaSat Incorporated has been awarded an additional order valued at approximately $7 million for multifunctional information distribution system (MIDS) terminals from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego. MIDS low-volume terminals are part of a tactical radio system that collects data from many sources and displays an electronic overview of the battlefield using secure, high-capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice.

ViaSat Supplies Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modems

ViaSat Incorporated has delivered 2000 enhanced bandwidth efficient modems (EBEM) for U.S. Defense Department teleport and U.S. Navy operations. The EBEMs include efficient modes for high-speed, point-to-point satellite communications. ViaSat has received follow-on orders for additional EBEMs from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command headquarters.

ViaSat Awarded $9.3 Million Contract for Integrated Waveform Development and Fielding

ViaSat Incorporated will continue to develop the UHF satellite communications (SATCOM) integrated waveform channel controller under a $9.3 million contract awarded by the Defense Information Systems Agency. The second phase of the integrated waveform development enables demand assigned services on UHF SATCOM networks to support new applications that require better performance and higher channel throughput.

ViaSat Receives $9.8 Million Order for Joint Tactical Radio System

ViaSat Incorporated has received a $9.8 million order for Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System (MIDS JTRS) Production Transition Terminals. MIDS JTRS is designed to enable warfighters to use multiple JTRS-approved waveforms and to increase channel information throughput and security. This award is a follow-on to the initial PTT order received in June 2007 from the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.
