ViaSat Incorporated will continue to develop the UHF satellite communications (SATCOM) integrated waveform channel controller under a $9.3 million contract awarded by the Defense Information Systems Agency. The second phase of the integrated waveform development enables demand assigned services on UHF SATCOM networks to support new applications that require better performance and higher channel throughput.
ViaSat Incorporated has received a $9.8 million order for Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radio System (MIDS JTRS) Production Transition Terminals. MIDS JTRS is designed to enable warfighters to use multiple JTRS-approved waveforms and to increase channel information throughput and security. This award is a follow-on to the initial PTT order received in June 2007 from the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.
