Science Applications International Corporation, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $6,961,768 firm-fixed-price contract for advisory and assistance services for the Weather Sustainment Division. Space-based infrared systems and military satellite communications must sustain effective and responsive consolidated logistics management support for mission-critical national defense weapons ground/command and control systems. U.S. Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, is the contracting activity.

United Launch Services L.L.C., Littleton, Colorado, is being awarded a $1.516 billion firm-fixed-price contract for Atlas V Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) launch service in support of a Defense Meteorological Satellites Program 19; a Mobile User Objective System-3; three National Reconnaissance Office missions; and Delta IV EELV launch service in support of U.S. Air Force Space Command-4, two Global Positioning Systems, and Defense Meteorological Satellites Program-20 missions. Space and Missile Systems Center, El Segundo, California, is the contracting activity.

Col. Kimberly A. Crider, USAF, has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general and assignment as mobilization assistant to the director of communications and information and chief information officer, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.

Harris Information Technology Services Corporation, Dulles, Virginia, is being awarded a more than $64 million contract modification for the network and space operations and maintenance, maintenance and logistics support to be provided to Air Force Space Command's 50th Space Wing. This includes configuration management, electrical power systems management, database applications support, 24-hour maintenance management, industrial safety, communications security, information management, communications network control center operations, communications circuit management, satellite control center support, computer operations support, communications-computer systems maintenance and operations and maintenance for the Defense Satellite Communications System, Secure Communication System, and MILSTAR. In addition, the network and space operations and maintenance contract will provide operations, maintenance, logistics and training support for the Air Force Satellite Control Network at remote tracking stations around the world. Maintenance and logistics support will also be provided for Global Positioning System (GPS) ground antennas and monitoring stations, software analysis and support for GPS, orbital analysis of military satellites in orbit in support of military satellite controllers and security forces at New Boston Air Station, New Hampshire.
