Harris Receives Potential $475 Million International Order for Radio Systems

Harris Corporation has been awarded a potential $475 million order to supply military and land mobile radio systems to international partners of the U.S. State Department and U.S. Department of Defense. The five-year contract was awarded by the U.S. Army's Communications Electronics Command and covers the Harris RF Falcon II and Falcon III radio portfolio Multiband Networking, and RF-7800S Secure Personal radios, as well as public safety and professional communications land mobile radios.

Harris Receives Land Mobile Radio System Contract Modification

Harris Corporation, Lynchburg, Virginia, is being awarded a $9 million contract modification for land mobile radio systems and equipment for the "Hierarchical Yet Dynamically Reprogrammable Architecture Wireless Interior Communications Program".  The cumulative value of this contract, including this modification, is more than $48 million. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

Harris to Provide First Responder Radios to Vermont

Harris Corporation recently received a $14 million contract from the State of Vermont to deploy a statewide radio system for public safety first responders and state agencies. The system meets Vermont's specific requirements for regional and cross-border communications - connecting local, state and federal agencies within the state, and providing interoperability with agencies in neighboring states and Canada. The Project 25 standards-based system will be built on Harris Voice, Interoperability, Data, Access network technology, an Internet Protocol-based interoperable radio communications technology that fully complies with emerging standards.

General Dynamics Receives $80 Million for Satellite Communications Antennas

General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies received an $80 million contract from Harris Corporation to design, manufacture and install six new 16-meter antennas and upgrade four 9-meter satellite communications antennas. Supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's new Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite R series (GOES-R) program, the antennas will enable critical command, control, telemetry and sensor data communications between satellites and ground stations. The system supports weather forecasting, severe storm tracking and meteorology research.
