Applied Research Receives Geolocation Analysis Contract

Applied Research Associates, Albuquerque, New Mexico, is being awarded a $15,295,188 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for a program to develop technologies to aid the analyst in geolocating images and videos in any outdoor terrestrial location in the world. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

Applied Research to Provide Injury Modeling Tools

Applied Research Associates Incorporated, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was recently awarded a potential $11 million contract for requirements analysis for human injury and treatment modeling tools. The contractor will determine the requirements and identify scenarios for use in demonstrating a computer modeling tool for predicting human injury incapacitation, and medical response requirements associated with blast attacks in shipboard environments. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

U.S. Army Seeks Intelligent Systems for Humanitarian De-mining System

Applied Research Associates Incorporated, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was recently awarded a contract for more than $9 million to develop and test cost-effective intelligent systems that will address present and future humanitarian de-mining and unexploded ordinance clearance needs. The systems will support operations for mission planning, detection and clearance of landmines and unexploded ordnance so that indigenous citizens can safely reoccupy the land. U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command Contracting Center Washington, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

Company To Participate in Analysis Center Consolidation Via DTIC Contract Award

The Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) has chosen Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., and its partners as one of nine indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multiple award contracts covering software, networks, information, and modeling and simulation. Under the terms of the contract, which has a maximum value of $2 billion over the next five years, ARA will help consolidate customer-funded efforts of three Defense Department information analysis centers, which are under DTIC direction.
