Multiple Firms Awarded C5ISR Funds

Dean Inc., Dulles, Va.; Qinetiq North America Inc., Services and Solutions Group, Fairfax, Va.; Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va.; Sotera Defense Solutions Inc., Virginia Beach, Va.; Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta; and ManTech Systems Engineering Corp., Fairfax, Va., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based multiple award contract with provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed-price task orders. The contracts are for the procurement of decision superiority support services including the entire spectrum of non-inherently governmental services and solutions (equipment and services) associated with the full system lifecycle support, including research, development, test, evaluation, production and fielding of sustainable, secure, survivable, and interoperable command, control, communication, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C5ISR), information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities. The cumulative, estimated ceiling value of the base year is $179,957,600. These contracts include options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative ceiling value of these contracts to an estimated $899,788,000. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity. 

SAIC to Develop Anti-Submarine Surveillance Technology

The Science Applications International Corp., Arlington Va., is being awarded a $9,468,199 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development of configurable technology to provide anti-submarine warfare surveillance over large, operationally relevant, deep ocean areas. This effort will include system architecture and design, sensors and processing, communications mobility, and energy requirements. This contract was competitively procured via a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency broad agency announcement. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

DARPA Awards Two Classified Contracts

Lockheed Martin Corp., Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded an $11,037,154 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, and Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded an $8,086,263 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The statement of work for both is classified. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the contracting activity. 

SAIC to Support Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Program Systems

Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., is being awarded a potential $74,398,851firm-fixed-price contract for global sustainment of Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Program Systems and associated equipment and software at 66 military installations worldwide. The work to be performed provides for preventive and corrective maintenance to sustain all Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Ashore Systems, associated equipment and software. This includes providing centralized comprehensive life cycle sustainment support for all of the hardware, software/firmware and cabling or other signal/data transmission sub-systems necessary for the systems to function as intended. Service call management is also included as part of this requirement. The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Sandia Awards Information Technology Contracts to Three Firms

Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque, N.M., has issued three information technology contracts totaling $353 million over a potential term of seven years. The awards streamline IT contracting at the labs, replace expiring contracts and integrate multiple service contracts to create efficiencies and long-term cost savings. Award A, an estimated $44.4 million contract for telecommunications, went to Mutual Telecom Services, Needham, Mass. Award B was a small business set-aside for enterprise computing and corporate desktop support that was awarded to The Kemtah Group, Albuquerque, for an estimated $81 million. And Award C for mission computing services, encompassing a variety of other IT services and estimated at $227.5 million, went to Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va.

Two Firms Awarded Network and Information Systems Funds

Computer Sciences Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a potential $9,437,767 modification to previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to exercise an option to provide engineering services for network and information systems that are currently operational and/or under development. Exercising of this award-term option will bring the total contract value to $35,659,074. This is one of two multiple award contracts: both awardees compete for task orders during the ordering period. Science Applications International Corp., McLean Va., is being awarded a potential $9,276,960 modification to previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to exercise an option to provide engineering services for network and information systems that are currently operational and/or under development. Exercising this award-term option will bring the potential contract value to $36,014,840. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity. 

SAIC to Research Microwave and Plasma Technologies

U.S. Air Force Awards $249 Million Cyberspace Command and Control Contract

U.S. Navy Awards More Than $899 Million in C5ISR Funds

(Engility), Mount Laurel, N.J.; Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va.; Serco, Reston, Va.; and Scientific Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga., are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, with fixed-price incentive (firm target) and firm-fixed-price provisions, multiple-award contract for the procurement of production, installation and in-service support services. The services required include support of design, acquisition, production, integration, testing, installation, and configuration management of certified C5ISR capabilities, with a specific focus on submarine and surface new construction, modernization, systems production/integration, installation and life cycle support of systems and subsystems integrated within or in support of the subsurface and surface platforms, both afloat and shore based. The cumulative estimated value of the base year is $179,908,687. These contracts include options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of these contracts to a combined estimated $899,543,000. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.

SAIC’s GPS Contract Modified
