Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a prime $13 million contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the U. S. Air Force Research Laboratory. SAIC will create a research framework for the development of reading system technologies and will evaluate the performance of these technologies in support of DARPA's Machine Reading program.

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk, Philadelphia Office has awarded two contracts, both with multiple awards, to support U.S. Joint Forces Command's (USJFCOM) joint experimentation and concept development efforts.

Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems received the two core/business sustainment contracts, valued at approximately $24.5 million, with a total value of each effort over five years of approximately $130 million.

The projects contracts were awarded to Science Applications International Corporation, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems.

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced it has been awarded a contract by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Government of the Kingdom of Thailand for the production and delivery of an SAIC Tsunami Buoy (STB) system. The STB will replace the current National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Deep-ocean Assessment and Reporting of Tsunamis buoy system in the Bay of Bengal provided to Thailand under a memorandum of agreement in 2006.

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a task order by the Defense Health Information Management System to provide sustainment support to the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application/Composite Health Care System. The order has a total value of more than $158 million if all options are exercised.
