SAIC Wins $45 Million Infrared Countermeasure Technology Contract

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a prime contract by the Department of the Air Force to provide research and development of new infrared countermeasure technologies to help protect U.S. military aircraft. This single award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will support the Air Force Research Laboratory Electro-Optical Warfare Technical Analysis Effort II Program. The contract has a potential value of $45.6 million if all options are exercised.

SAIC Awarded $61 Million Contract to Support Grant Administration from the National Institutes of Health

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Information Systems to provide software development support services to the electronic Research Administration (eRA). The contract has a total value of more than $62 million if all options are exercised. eRA systems provide information technology solutions and support for the full life cycle of grants administration functions for the NIH. Under the contract, SAIC will provide a broad range of software development services, including system maintenance and enhancement and design and development services.

SAIC Receives General Services Administration Task Order for Central Command Support

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a task order to provide information technology support and services to the U.S. Central Command's (CENTCOM's) Directorate of Command, Control, Communications and Computers (J-6). The task order has a ceiling value of $226 million if all options are exercised. Under the task order, SAIC will provide command, control, communications and computer information (C4I) support for the entire CENTCOM organization. Services will include planning, program management, integration, operation and maintenance of headquarters and/or joint theater-level communications and computer networks.

SAIC Receives $27 Million Navy Contract for Information Technology Services

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to provide the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station - Atlantic with Outside Continental U.S. Naval Enterprise Network (ONE-NET) information technology support services for the Europe and Middle East regions. The contract has a potential value of more than $27 million if all options are exercised. Under the contract, SAIC will provide operation and maintenance support for ONE-NET, command and control, coalition and legacy network systems. SAIC also will provide migration support for legacy networks.

SAIC Awarded $37 Million Contract to Support Army Program Executive Office - Enterprise Information System

Science Applications International Corporation has received a task order by the U.S. Army Program Executive Office - Enterprise Information Systems to provide engineering support to help maintain and enhance the Biometrics Automated Toolset - Army (BAT-A) system. The contract is valued at more than $37 million if all options are exercised. BAT-A devices collect fingerprints, iris scans, facial photos and biographical information of persons of interest and store information in a searchable data base, facilitating the use of biometrics for intelligence exploitation.

SAIC Receives $46 Million Contract from Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - Pacific to provide tactical data link systems support. The follow-on, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a total value of more than $46 million if all options are exercised. Under the contract, SAIC will provide engineering and technical support, including life cycle and systems engineering, integration, testing, configuration management and integrated logistics support.

SAIC Receives Contract for Emerging Technologies in C4ISR

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is being awarded a $33.3 million, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangement for emerging technologies and systems for positioning, navigation and timing for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. The work includes research, investigation and test and evaluation of emerging navigation technologies, sensors and systems with potential for applicability in the areas of air, ground and shipboard C4ISR system technologies and position, navigation and timing systems.

SAIC Awarded $18 Million Contract by Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office to design and develop a sensor inspired by a canine's olfactory system, or sense of smell. The contract has a potential value of $18 million if all options are exercised. The effort is part of DARPA's RealNose Program. The program's goal is to build an artificial "nose" to create a breakthrough detection system with capabilities beyond that of a dog. Under the contract, SAIC will model, design and develop this sensor, which will include subsystems for air/odor intake, detection using olfactory receptors, signal transduction and pattern recognition to identify odors. The sensor could help protect U.S. forces in war zones by detecting explosives and chemical or biological weapons.

SAIC Awarded Two Major Task Orders by Army Aviation and Missile Command

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded two task orders by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command to provide modeling and simulation support to the Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center - Systems Simulation and Development Directorate (SSDD). Their combined ceiling value is $160 million if all options are exercised. SSDD evaluates and analyzes performance of new and modified weapon systems and provides technical simulation support for Army program managers and other government agencies. SSDD also conducts weapon systems research, exploratory and advanced development and provides engineering and scientific expertise for the Army.

SAIC Awarded $49 Million Contract by Air Force Research Laboratory - Directed Energy Directorate

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Directed Energy Directorate, High Power Microwave Division, to support high energy research and applications. This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a six-year period of performance and a total contract value of $49 million. Under the contract, SAIC will develop state-of-the-art systems and advance scientific knowledge in the area of directed energy technology. SAIC will deliver high power microwave components, including sources, portable prime power, pulsed power conditioning systems, antennas and novel sources of high energy density plasmas in an effort to advance the state-of-the-art and scientific knowledge in directed energy and related technology.
