SAIC to Advance Passive Electro-Optical Technologies

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a $25 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to advance passive electro-optical technologies for hyper-spectral target detection and material identification, extended range sensing with polar metric and other non-literal sensors, and persistent surveillance. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

SAIC Supports Night Eagle Surveillance in Iraq and Afghanistan

Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia, was awarded a $16,004,292 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the Night Eagle System services in support of fielded systems. Work will be performed in Bridgewater, Virginia, Iraq and Afghanistan with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2012. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is the contracting activity.

Five Firms Receive Information Assurance Funds

BAE Systems Information Solutions Incorporated, Herndon, Virginia; Booz Allen Hamilton Incorporated, McLean, Virginia; Computer Sciences Corporation, Falls Church, Virginia; Honeywell Technology Solutions Incorporated, Columbia, Maryland; Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia; and Scientific Research Corporation, Atlanta, Georgia, are each being awarded a potential $210,568,360 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award, cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract to provide tactical and strategic and operations support services with the emphasis being on information assurance. These contracts will support the U.S. Navy and other Defense Department and federal agencies. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity.

SAIC Receives $222 Million for Common Virtual Environment Development

Blue Tech Incorporated, San Diego, California; CDW Government LLC, Vernon Hills, Illinois; Iron Bow Technologies LLC, Chantilly, Virginia; Mercom Incorporated, Pawleys Island, South Carolina; Science Applications International Corporation, McLean, Virginia; and Scientific Research Corporation, Atlanta, Georgia, are each being awarded a $100 million supply contract for the procurement of commercial-off-the-shelf, command and control equipment and related incidental support services. These contracts include options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the individual contracts to an estimated $500 million. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina is the contracting activity.
