The Boeing Company, St. Louis, Misssouri, was recently awarded a nearly $37 million contract for the test support and training, software, and fielding efforts for Early Infantry Brigade Combat Team low rate initial production Set 1. U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

The Boeing Company, Huntsville, Alabama, was recently awarded an $88 million contract for Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System aircraft, which encompasses a 24-month engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) base effort for four units with an option for an additional two EMD units and more options for a total of six low rate initial production units and interim contractor logistics support. U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems has received multiple contracts totaling $38 million to provide thermal imagers for the U.S. Army's Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) II and Stryker programs. The TIM1500 thermal imagers used on remote weapon stations allow soldiers to detect and identify enemy targets while remaining protected inside their vehicles through remotely controlled, vehicle-mounted platforms for light- and medium-caliber weapons. The TIM1500 provides extended viewing range capability to detect vehicle targets at a significant range for target acquisition, long-rang surveillance and situational awareness. BAE Systems will provide the TIM1500 to Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace AS. The company recently shipped its 10,000th TIM1500 imager, and increased its production rate in support of Army requirements, including deployment of the units on mine-resistant, ambush protected combat vehicles.

QinetiQ North America, Reston, Virginia, was recently awarded a $38 million contract for 15,000 individual gunshot detection systems. Work is to be performed in Reston, Virginia, with an estimated completion date of July 28, 2013. Research Development & Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems, York, Pennsylvania, was recently awarded a $250 million cost reimbursement - no fee contract. This requirement will procure Operation Desert Storm Situational Awareness (ODS-SA) long lead material for a total of 247 ODS-SA conversion kits, 202 of which will be used under the contract to convert vehicles from ODS to ODS-SA configurations in support of the Bradley fighting vehicle. U.S. Army, Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command Contracting Center, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity.

Cubic Applications Incorporated (CAI) has been awarded a five-year contract with a potential value close to $35 million to provide simulation and network services to support battle simulations and battle command systems for the Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC) located at Grafenwöhr, Germany, and five other European sites. The JMSC is an element of the Joint Multinational Training Command (JMTC), the training command of U.S. Army Europe. The JMTC is the largest training command outside the continental United States. JMTC range and maneuver complexes, simulation centers, classrooms and facilities provide realistic and relevant training to U.S. Army, Joint Service, NATO, and allied units and leaders.

AeroVironment Incorporated, Simi Valley, California, was recently awarded a $17 million contract that establishes not-to-exceed amounts for Puma all-environment capable variant contractor logistics support, training and accounting for contract services in support of Joint Urgent Operational Need Statement CC-0289, entitled, "Unmanned Aircraft Systems for Route Clearance."  U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

General Dynamics C4 Systems Incorporated, Taunton, Masschusetts, was recently awarded a $187 million contract modification to raise the contract ceiling to $2.68 billion. Items to be procured under this contract are Common Hardware Systems-3. U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

TeleCommunication Systems Incorporated recently announced that it has received an additional $12 million in funding from the U.S. Army for equipment and maintenance of Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point (SNAP) Very Small Aperture Terminal Satellite Systems deployed outside the United States. The Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical Commercial Satellite Terminal Program is funding these procurements through the Army's $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems contract vehicle. The SNAP program includes options for approximately 1,500 terminals and supporting equipment to be deployed in various sizes and configurations, along with up to 30 field support positions.

Telcordia Technologies Incorporated, Piscataway, New Jersey, recently received a $14 million contract for research and development efforts to advance the state of the art and transition of protocols and algorithms for resilient agile global optical networks technology, including demonstration of a cloud computing application. U.S. Army Research and Development Command Contracting Center, Adelphi, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
