Lockheed Martin Receives Potential $199 Million for Antisubmarine System

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, Liverpool, N.Y., was awarded a potential $199,123,412 fixed-price-incentive, firm-fixed-price, and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract on Sept. 26, 2013, for the production and support of TB-37/U Multi Function Towed Arrays (MFTA) for the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Antisubmarine Warfare Combat Systems. The TB-37/U MFTA is the next generation passive and active sonar receiver. It affords several enhancements to the AN/SQR-19 Tactical Towed Array System allowing greater coverage, increased capability/reliability, and reduced obsolescence. The TB-37/U MFTA significantly contributes to the capability of surface ships to detect, localize and prosecute undersea threats and is a critical sensor to a combat systems suite. Lockheed Martin Awarded Nearly $96 Million for Undersea Warfare System

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded a $95,727,501 modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-07-C-5201) for definitization of the Navy's fiscal 2012 AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 Surface Ship Undersea Warfare System production requirements and exercise of fiscal 2013 production options. The AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 is a surface ship combat system with the capabilities to search, detect, classify, localize and track undersea contacts; and to engage and evade submarines, mine-like small objects, and torpedo threats. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, D.C., is the contracting activity.

QinetiQ to Support Net-Centric Capability

QinetiQ North America, Reston, Va., announced today it was awarded a three-year, $10 million contract with Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic to provide engineering and testing subject matter expertise in the areas of service-oriented architecture (SOA) engineering, development, system validation, certification, and testing over the duration of multiple net-centric programs. The work will support the SPAWAR SSC Atlantic mission of enabling net-centric capability superiority to naval and joint warfighters through their work on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) ENCORE II contract. Services are anticipated to include requirements management and traceability, SOA testing, software test strategy coordination and creation, software test planning, software test case design, manual and automated software testing, software test reporting, quality assurance and database development.

New Zealand Firm Awarded Remote Firing Device Contract

MAS Zengrange Ltd., Wellington, New Zealand, was awarded a $9,387,200 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00174-12-D-0009) on Sept. 19, 2013 for transmitters, receivers and expendable XrX receivers for the mini-demolition remote firing device. The mini-demolition remote firing device is an ultra-high frequency digital radio controlled initiation system designed for the remote initiation of munitions and explosives. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, Indian Head, Md., is the contracting activity.

Boeing to Provide Fighter Jet Navigation Kits

The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded $12,871,280 for firm-fixed-price delivery order 0164 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-11-G-0001) for the procurement of 114 advanced navigation system retrofit kits for F/A-18E and F/A-18F aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed in May 2017. Fiscal 2013 aircraft procurement contract funds in the amount $2,752,243 will be obligated at the time of award; none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Rolls-Royce to Repair Hawkeye Engines

Rolls-Royce Engine Services-Oakland Inc., Oakland, Calif., is being awarded a $17,010,320 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the depot repair of T56-A-427 engines in support of the E-2 advanced Hawkeye aircraft, including the repair of 20 power sections, 10 torque meters, and 20 gearboxes, and accessories. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-13-D-0019).

Raytheon Receives F/A-18 E/F Radar Award

Raytheon Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded $39,000,000 for firm-fixed-price delivery order 0048 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-10-G-0006) for the procurement of 15 AN/APG-79 AESA radar systems for the F/A-18 E/F aircraft. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

FLIR Systems to Provide Patrol Boat Electro-Optics System

FLIR Systems Inc., Billerica, Mass., was awarded a $49,852,526 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract on Sept. 19, 2013, for the Patrol Boat Electro-Optics System (PB-EOS) for the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy. The primary mission of the PB-EOS is to provide enhanced visual imagery to augment existing electronic sensors. Use of the PB-EOS will enhance the following: low visibility and night navigation; maritime interception; coastal observation and surveillance; insertion and extraction operations; visit, board, search, and seizure operations; combat search and rescue; identification friend or foe; real-time situational awareness and threat warning; reconnaissance and surveillance; and documenting navigational hazards. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-13-D-JQ59).

Denmark Procures Mission Avionics and Common Cockpit
