AECOM to Provide Geo-Spatial Services

AECOM Technical Services Inc., Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $15 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract for plans, studies, project planning documents, geo-spatial information and services, Global Positioning System services and other services at Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest area of responsibility. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Provide Aircraft Navigation to Multiple Nations

Northrop Grumman Corp., Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded a $13,172,882 five-year performance based logistics firm-fixed-price requirements contract for the AN/ASN-139 Carrier Aircraft Inertial Navigation System (CAINS II) used in support of the C-2A, E-2C, F/A-18 B/C/D/E/F, S-3 and TAV-8B aircraft. The announcement contains purchases for the governments of Japan, Egypt, France, Malaysia, and Taiwan under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Awarded JCREW Option

Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems, Network Communication Systems, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $14,098,840 modification to exercise an option under previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract for all material and services to support system development and demonstration phase through preliminary design review for the Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (JCREW) 3.3 System of Systems. Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity. 

Lockheed Provides Acoustic Tech for Submarines

Lockheed Martin Corp., Mission Systems and Sensors, Manassas, Va., is being awarded a $13,278,778 modification to existing cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for fiscal 2012 Acoustic Rapid Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Insertion (A-RCI) TI-12 system upgrades. The contract provides funding for the development and production of the A-RCI and common acoustics processing for Technology Insertion 12 (TI-12) through Technology Insertion 14 (TI-14) for the U.S. submarine fleet. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

General Dynamics Receives Contract Modification for Aircraft Computers

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Minneapolis, Minn., is being awarded a $19,189,504 contract modification to exercise an option for 76 forward fit Type 3 advanced mission computers for the F/A-18E/F and E/A-18G aircraft. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

Northrop Grumman Awarded Command and Control Processor Contract

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a potential $95 million indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract for Next Generation Command and Control Processor (NGC2P) Technology Refresh and Link 22 development. The contract addresses obsolescence issues in the current NGC2P system and supports system capability enhancements and new capability insertion, such as Link 22. The contract is acquiring software and hardware system development, engineering services and technology refresh field change kits. The Space and Naval Warfare System Command, San Diego, Calif., was the contracting activity on behalf of its organizational partner, the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence. 

Boeing Subsidiary Provides Ship Situational Awareness

Boeing will continue helping improve situational awareness for U.S. Navy surface combat ships under a $46 million exercised option of its Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Increment F contract. The funding, to Boeing subsidiary Argon ST, covers seven systems over 18 months, representing the third lot of full-rate production units. Argon has delivered a combined total of more than 80 SSEE systems since 2000. Increment F improves on the E’s antennas, signal acquisition, and direction finding, facilitating increased data collection and better identification of potential threats.

Argon ST Continues Providing Torpedo Defense System

Under a newly exercised option for the AN/SLQ- 25C system contract, Boeing subsidiary Argon ST, Fairfax, Va., will continue to supply U.S. Navy surface ships with countermeasures that lure torpedoes away by mimicking a vessel’s propulsion system. The $8 million option covers production and delivery of eight new AN/SLQ-25C systems—commonly called Nixie—under the Navy’s Surface Ship Torpedo Defense program. An electro-acoustic towed decoy system, Nixie can communicate with its host ship’s network for a fully integrated defense capability.

BAE to Provide Identification Friend or Foe Technology to Five Nations

BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $24,186,962 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for the procurement of Common (Identification Friend or Foe) Digital Transponder (CXP) hardware for the U.S. Army, Navy, Coast Guard, and the governments of Saudi Arabia, Australia, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including transponders, mounts, modification kits and remote control unit modes. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity. 

Northrop to Provide Missile Warning Sensors and Processors

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $7,190,928 contract modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option to procure 40 sensors, 20 upgrade processors and associated technical data in support of the advanced threat missile warning system, a subsystem of the large aircraft infrared countermeasures system. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
