Military Sealift Command

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization awarded Stratos Government Services Incorporated, Washington D.C., a not-to-exceed $315 million contract for Military Sealift Command's (MSC) next-generation wideband commercial satellite communications infrastructure and service. The contract will replace the current MSC Afloat Bandwidth Efficient Satellite Transport (BEST) commercial satellite communications infrastructure.

U.S. Information Technologies Corporation, Chantilly, Virginia, is being awarded a contract potentially valued at more than $63 million for information technology technical support services for the U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., which is the contracting authority.

TeleCommunication Systems Incorporated, Annapolis, Maryland, was recently awarded a contract for Military Sealift Command's next generation wideband commercial satellite communications infrastructure and service. The contract has a $315 million ceiling price and will replace the command's current Afloat Bandwidth Efficient Satellite Transport commercial satellite communications infrastructure. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity.

Capt. Brian L. Laroche, USN, has been selected for promotion to the grade of rear admiral and assignment as deputy commander, Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C.

Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a potential $49.8 million contract for information technology ashore operations support services for the U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command.  The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
