Insitu to Support ScanEagle Unmanned Aerial System

Insitu Incorporated, Bingen, Washington, is being awarded a more than $83 million contract for operations and maintenance services in support government-owned ScanEagle unmanned aerial systems (UAS), including:  multiple training courses ranging from system pilot training, maintenance and operations, mission coordinator and payload operator; multiple kits for sustainment, payload and engine module kits; and multiple spare parts for ScanEagle UAS.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Northrop to Convert Vertical Takeoff and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Northrop Grumman to Support Global Hawk Logistics Under $247 Million Contract

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Integrated Systems Sector, of  San Diego, California, is being awarded a $247 million contract to provide logistics support activities required to support Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle fielded systems and subsystems used in peacetime operations, which includes fielded air vehicles, engines, payloads, ground segments, and support segments. The contractor shall provide materials and support services to include planning, operations support and maintenance in support of Global Hawk fielded systems used in peacetime continental United States and overseas deployments. The contracting activity is Warner Robins-Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.

AeroVironment Receives Order for Raven Unmanned Aircraft Systems

AeroVironment Incorporated recently announced that it received an order valued at about $46 million under an existing contract with the U.S. Army. The order comprises 123 new digital Raven small, unmanned aircraft systems and initial spares packages as well as 186 digital retrofit kits for the U.S. Marine Corps. The order also includes 339 digital retrofit kits for the U.S. Army. The Raven system and retrofit order represents the remainder of the funds appropriated for RQ-11B Raven system procurement in the 2010 Department of Defense Appropriations Act, which was signed into law in December 2009.

AAI Corporation Receives $35 Million Shadow Contract Modification

AAI Corporation, Hunt Valley, Maryland, recently received a $35 million contract modification to complete the fiscal 2011 performance-based logistics contract for the Shadow unmanned aircraft system and a service effort for four government-owned, contractor operated teams to operate and maintain the Shadow unmanned aircraft system in support of Operation New Dawn/Operation Enduring Freedom. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
