Trident to Provide Unmanned Aircraft Intelligence, Surveillance Reconnaissance Technology

Trident Systems Incorporated, Fairfax, Virginia, is being awarded a more than $48 million contract for the procurement of technology solutions for persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance on small unmanned aerial vehicle platforms.  The U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Supports U.S. Navy Advanced Hawkeye Aircraft.

Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Bethpage, New York, is being awarded a $9 million delivery order against a previously issued basic order agreement to provide integrated logistics services in support of four low-rate initial production E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft, to include provisioning technical data for aircraft and engines, as well as support equipment. The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

AAI Receives $24 Million for Shadow Mobile Maintenance Facilities

AAI Corp., Hunt Valley, Maryland, was awarded a $24 million contract for 11 mobile maintenance facilities for the Shadow unmanned aircraft system for the U.S.  Marine Corps and the Army. The Shadow provides flexible and responsive near real-time battle damage assessment, battle management support, and reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition to ground maneuver commanders. U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, CCAM-AR-A, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman to Revitalize Hunter UAS in Support of War Effort

Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Technical Services, Inc., Sierra Vista, Arizona, was recently awarded a $47 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide capability-based rotations support for Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom and revitalization for the Hunter unmanned aircraft system.  Aviation & Missile Command Contracting Center, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

AAI Supports Shadow UAS Under Nearly $38 Million U.S. Army Contract

AAI Corp., Hunt Valley, Md., has been awarded a $37.9 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract by the U.S. Army, which increases funds and exercises options on the Shadow tactical unmanned aircraft system performance-based logistics contract.

Italy Selects AAI Shadow 200 Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System

AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. company, announced today that Italy's Ministry of Defense - Directorate of General Aeronautical Armament has selected AAI's Shadow 200 Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems for the Italian Army. Under this 51 million euro-$64 million-award, Italy will purchase four Shadow systems for deployment alongside NATO forces. System requirements include a small system footprint; easy transportation using small vehicles or C-130 Hercules aircraft; ease of use; interoperability with other NATO forces; and the ability to take off and land from small, semi-prepared airfields.
