U.S. Air Force Modifies Global Positioning System Contract

The Boeing Company, Seal Beach, California, is being awarded a $16 million contract modification to the existing Boeing IIF sustainment contract for the Global Positioning System. This contract will provide fiscal 2011 funding for four sustainment contract line item numbers, to include contractor software maintenance, contract hardware maintenance, sustainment, and sustainment engineering. It will also provide fiscal 2011 funding to support proposal preparation. Boeing will provide personnel and infrastructure, including supplies and services, to specifically perform software maintenance, hardware maintenance, sustainment engineering support and proposal preparation. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity.

U.S. Air Force Procures Processors for Predator/Reaper Program

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems of Poway, California, is being awarded a more than $13 million contract for the purchase of 8 Linux processors, 41 improved display kits and associated spares for the ground control stations under the Predator/Reaper program. Boeing Sustains Combat Track II Airborne Intelligence System

Boeing Company, S&IS Mission Systems, Springfield, Virginia, is being awarded a $14 million contract to continue sustainment of the Combat Track II (CTII) airborne intelligence platform sustainment and support systems, which include deployments worldwide conducting site surveys; installations and integration; assembly and test; operator and maintainer training; software/hardware modifications; system integration and retrofits; and system performance assessments. Boeing will also equip CTII units with a programmable Sierra II chip. The Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
